Hi Maf and Tony – On Tuesday the 14th of March, Randall collected me at 7.30am and I can an honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed your Tour A. Arriving at Mossman Gorge before the day trippers, seeing a Boyd’s forest dragon, a water dragon and even a large turtle climbing up a rock was a terrific start. The tide was very high on the Daintree River but with luck on his side, Ray the skipper found us “Scarface” the largest and oldest crocodile on the river and a year old baby resting on a log. Awesome!!! Perfect weather made the Alexandra Lookout a spectacular sight. Morning tea with yummy muffins and biscuits hit the spot! Great timing as not many other buses when we arrived at Cape Trib and the weather still a picture postcard. Noah Valley really did live up to your brochure details. What a rare jewel of a place! The rainforest walk was wild but not difficult. The lunch area very comfortable and food tasty and fresh. Toilet facilities very clean. The swimming area was the highlight for me! It is the most scenic rainforest creek setting I have ever seen! And to end the adventure on a high a cassowary and his two chicks appeared while we ate our ice creams at the fruit farm. How about that! The day ran very smoothly thanks to Randall who conversed extremely well on all subjects as he guided the tour. A quality “best of everything to see” tour, terrific value for money and a stand alone winner! Thank you for allowing me to experience your tour – Cathy Nutt
Hi Tony, Maf and Rob – Thank you so very much for allowing me to come and enjoy your fantastic tour to Mossman, Daintree and Cape Trip. I had an absolutely amazing day and Rob was great, full of information and stories about the area and history and kept the van awake and entertained with his good sense of humour basically the whole day! He made everyone comfortable with himself and each other and kept spirits high when it started to rain, the lunch that was also put on was brilliant. I loved the fact that the tour is broken down into enough activities throughout the day so the driving doesn’t seem near as long as it may be. Great being at Mossman Gorge early enough so there weren’t too many others around, and the rest of the day just fell into play beautifully, we didn’t get to enjoy the swim as the weather wasn’t the greatest but it’s good to know you have this option of a private pristine river for swimming which is away from all the other tour groups. Noah Valley is beautifully and we were lucky enough to spot a cassowary on the drive back too. Beautiful Ice cream, definitely going again. Warm Regards – Jacinda
“Let’s go on a tour” is not the call that makes a Dad popular with a 16 and 14 year old. “And, the best bit, we get picked up at 7:20am!” But, they loved it and so did we. The group was small, the guide (Rob) pitched it right; fun, knowledge, stories and banter. We didn’t get to see too many crocs but did see a cassowary and some big lizards. The highlight? Whilst the beach at Cape Trib was awesome, a swim in the crystal clear river and Rob’s use of ochre rock to give us all some cool face paint worked for young, teens and parents. Great job Tony’s Tours
Dear Tony,Thank you for an amazing day in the Rainforest. The day went very well indeed. Saw more, learned more than we expected. On reflection I could have probably saved money and booked a tinny down the Daintree myself, crashed through some rainforest myself, hiked up the highway to Cape Trib myself. But, there’s no way I could have come up with half the stuff our guide Dave said and did. That’s where the money was, and I’d recommend the trip to anyone again. It would’ve been like watching a silent movie and trying to guess what the story was about if Dave wasn’t there. He filled us in not only on any bit of biology we could point at, but was a living breathing local who could fill us in on the local history, people and life of a north Queenslander. A true diplomat – we were in the mixed company of a Melbourne greeny and a mining company geologist I think, and Dave navigated around the politics of conservation, his feet not touching the ground, gently introducing us all to the value of what was all around us. He was magic. Living, breathing and himself believing everything he was teaching us, the more for convincing us about the Daintree’s message.
If the rest of your guides are as half as good, you’ll be doing business for a long time. I’m already spreading the word with folks in Sydney.
Thanks for a wonderful day. – Neil, Ayuko and Joe McNamara
Hello Tony’s Tours. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you that yesterday tours under the adverse conditions was outstanding. Steve our guide did a great job even though the conditions were tough for any guide to work in. We would recommend this tour to anyone. We have toured the East Coast of Australia for the past 2 months and this tour was one of our highlights. John and Bryony, Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada
Hello Maf,Our dive group was in Cairns for 2 weeks and the Daintree/Cape Trib tour we took with you was absolutely one of the highlight’s of our trip. It was our last land-based adventure, and was a perfect way to end in our time in beautiful north Queensland. Tony and the other drivers were absolute professionals, the land rovers were comfortable and the ideal way to see the sights, lunch was fantastic, and the swim in the river was exhilarating !!!
Thank you for helping me put all this together for our group tour to the Daintree Rainforest from our hotels in Port Douglas. It was a pleasure working with you and I wish you and Tony the best. Cheers, Brian Stelly
Dear Tony’s Tours – I want to give some feedback on our tour experience. We went on Tour A on Sept. 25. We were a group of 5, 2 Australians and 3 Americans, and all of us give you the highest marks. Our guide, Rob, was sensational. Great demeanor, good at establishing rapport with us all, and deeply knowledgeable. I’m sure there must be questions about the rain forest that would stump him, but our group didn’t find any. The things we saw were great in and of themselves, but Rob’s ability to explain what we are seeing took the tour from merely enjoyable to truly memorable. Many thanks for a great experience. “An Amazing Day in the Daintree” – We met Petra at 8.20am and at our accommodation and sadly said our goodbyes almost 9 hours later after a very informative and entertaining day.
Whilst the tour with Tony’s may at first seem expensive, when all is considered with entries to various destinations, bus trip to Mossman gorge, river cruise along parts of the Daintree River, tasty morning tea/coffee, lunch – and plenty of it with only our group of 8 and so much more, the day is not that expensive.
Petra is a wealth of knowledge on almost everything in the area from sugar cane production, fauna and flora, history including James Cook’s adventures along the coast in 1770 and, again, so much more. Petra really made the day hum right to the sad goodbye at the end of a looooong day. Thanks Tony’s Tours and Petra too.
“Lovely tour with Tony in TTT” 今年九月我跟未婚夫到東澳玩9天8夜, 其中一天我們參加了TTT, 很幸運地是, 我們給Tony帶領到, 謝謝Tony的熱心說明, 讓我們一路上學習到很多新知, Thank you, Tony! From Taiwan Emily
Hey Maf, a quick note to let you know that the tour was outstanding, I can’t speak highly enough of the tour guide- Steve. We went on a couple of tours but, Steve wiped the floor with other tour guides! He was really sincere, knowledgeable, generous with time, a real testament to Tony’s Tours. Thanks Monique
Hi Tony, We really enjoyed our tour – Petra, was super informative, efficient and friendly. We would recommend her and the tour anytime. Your tours were recommended by two independent sources to us and thank goodness, as with so many operators, it is hard to know. We covered so much in a day and saw everything we wanted – crocs, snakes, spiders except for a Cassowary of course! The swimming hole was a real highlight and we would have liked to have stayed there longer – the steak and fish at lunch was amazing but felt rushed (because one of our group wandered off at the beach and was inconsiderate to everyone else and that meant we had to cut back time at lunch). The ice cream stop was also incredible. Thanks to you and your staff, a great day. Louise and Mark Workman
“Amazing Rainforest Tour!” My cousin and I took this tour on August 21st with Adrian as our tour guide. We both had a wonderful time and cannot stop raving about this tour to family and friends. I am a Wildlife Biology major and am always looking for nature based or wildlife tours when I go on trips the first easily was the best tour that I have ever been on. There was never a time where I felt over crowded by other tours, felt like I was just another person on the tour or felt like I wish we had more to do. Adrian was wonderful. He had the perfect combination to be a great tour guide. He made the tour group a friendly environment by taking the time to talk to us by name and encourage us to talk to each other which made it more fun. Adrian always kept us laughing while continuously filling our minds with amazing facts about the rainforest. It never seemed like Adrian was bored with what he was doing, it seemed like he was very excited about the tour unlike some tour guides that get bored saying the same thing every day. We had a wonderful time and wouldn’t change a thing about the tour
Hi Maf, We had a really great tour with your crew — special thanks to Wayne, we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide, perfect combination of local knowledge and humor. The whole day felt like an authentic and intimate way to see the rainforest, and I think being at the Gorge before the swarms of other tourists and getting the private stream swim and trail hike were key to that feeling. We also enjoyed the fact that the day never felt rushed, but we still made it to so many different sites.
Hi Tony’s Tropical Tours Back in Blighty and back to reality I’m afraid. The tour with yourselves was amazing and a real highlight of our trip down under. Our guide Rob was superb and made the day very special. He had an excellent knowledge of the incredible Daintree area which is simply breathtaking. The swim in the creek and the face painting were definitely highlights for the kids and Rob really interacted with our group to ensure we all got something from the day.We will remember it for a long time and will forward some photos once we get time to sort them… Took so many. 10 out of 10.. I’d recommend that tour to anyone. Wayne Edwards
Hi Maf. Just a quick note to let you know how much Belinda & I enjoyed your Daintree Rainforest Cape Tribulation via Mossman Gorge tour during our recent trip to Port Douglas. We have been on many local area tours both in Australia & overseas, & this was possibly the best overall experience we have had. The transportation was good without over-crowding, & the duration & frequency of stops was spot on. The standout for me was our guide (I can’t remember his name, but he was a former plant nursery owner from the Albury area in NSW). His botanical & wild-life knowledge was amazing, & he kept our attention constantly engaged with his descriptions of plants & wildlife & the way he pointed out birds, snakes, etc that we would never otherwise have seen. In addition, he was a good driver & extremely considerate in providing a chocolate mud-cake for my birthday! The short cruise on the Daintree River revealed several crocs. Lunch was good, in a great location. My only disappointment was the absence of cassowaries! I have already recommended you to friends &we will certainly try one of your other trips when we return to PD. Kind regards, Michael Young
“Tour A – fantastic day out – saw 3 Cassowaries” what a fantastic tour this is, we saw so much here is a list of few nankeen night heron, striated heron, Boyd’s dragon, rainbow bee eaters ,kingfishers ,brown tree snake, baby croc, cassowaries one male with young and one lone female. The BBQ lunch was very tasty and location excellent using local people to provide the service. Thank you Wayne for an excellent day although it was raining the poncho and umbrellas provide keep us dry. STJean
Hallo Maf, I know when I speak of our day out with Randall I am speaking on behalf of all of us who went on the day tour. It was the highlight of our stay in Pt. Douglas. The professionalism and knowledge shown by our tour guide was exceptional. He definitely captured the grandeur and the beautiful natural sites only the top end can show us. Please don’t change a thing in the way you present the day to the uninitiated as we believe your day tours do it very well indeed. You are very fortunate having people like Randall working for you. We would definitely recommend your tours to others. Chris Cocks
“Wonderful Tour – More Than I Expected, Everything I Wanted!” Yesterday, I went with a small group of 9 people. Our tour guide Steve was amazing. In addition to telling us about the geography and history of Daintree Rainforest and Mossman Gorge, he also taught us about the local history of Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation. I learned SO MUCH about the flora and fauna of these beautiful sites, and during our trip, Steve kept us entertained with stories, jokes and great humour. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants the full experience of exploring and learning about Mossman Gorge and the Daintree Rainforest!
My diary entry: The lady at Reception in the hotel said we would have fun with Tony’s – and we did – though Tony was a Rob…! There were only 6 of us on the tour too – so it was really fun and personalized. We hadn’t seen much of the surrounding area as we’d arrived into Port Douglas after dark, so we were amazed to see avenues of mango trees, dripping with fruit; fields and fields of sugar cane, and several tea plantations. It’s all very lush after the aridity of Alice. First stop Mossman Gorge in the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest. The Gorge contains the oldest, continuously surviving rainforest on earth. Just one hectare of the 120,000 hectare forest can contain over 30,000 species of plants and animals. Considered by many to be the evolutionary cradle for much of Australia’s plant and wildlife species, the forest has managed to survive for over 135 million years. This was our first experience of a rainforest, and it’s an amazing place – hot and humid, dense with plants from the forest floor right up to it’s towering canopy. A tropical rain forest has distinct layers; an upper canopy consisting of trees that are between 60 and 130 feet high, where most of the animals live; the lower canopy consisting of trees 60 feet high – hardly any light reaches here and the level of humidity is very high; the ground level – where the insects live. It is beautiful, but also slightly unsettling. There were so many plants to see, but, for me, it was the strangler fig that seemed iconically rainforest. The strangler fig begins its life as a seed deposited by a bird at the top of a tree or in a tree’s crevice. It then develops roots and grows down the host tree, essentially strangling it all the way down to its base. Once the host plants dies, the strangler fig stands alone – all twisted and tortured. Amazing. There were also plants to be avoided, the Wait-A-While vine being one. This vine hangs from the canopy of the rainforest and looks harmless, but if you get tangled in it and try to walk away, you’ll know how it got it’s name. These vines have hooked spines on them so if your skin or clothes get caught on it as you walk past it grabs you. The best course of action if you find yourself hooked up is to stop walking, ‘wait-a-while’ and disentangle yourself – if you keep walking it can scratch or even rip skin and clothes. Another is Hairy Mary – the stems of this vine are thickly covered with fine spines – very uncomfortable. And even worse – the Stinging Tree: Aboriginal people call this plant ‘Gympie Gympie’, which means ‘devil-like’. An attractive looking plant with large heart-shaped green leaves – unfortunately these leaves have serrated edges which are toxic. If your skin comes into contact with the leaves, fine silica-tipped hairs inject venom like mini-syringes. It causes extreme pain with symptoms including an intense stinging sensation that can last for several weeks. Best avoided. Creature wise, Rob was brilliant at spotting dragons – Boyd Forest Dragons. These are chameleons, changing colour to blend in, so difficult to spot. You can get quite close to them once you have spotted them however, as they stay still in an attempt to remain undetected. We also got to see turtles basking on the rocks in the river – how special is that. I was rather surprised to see large, blue Easter eggs on the rainforest floor – thought they might be left over from some sort of Easter egg hunt….. They turned out to be the fruits of the Cassowary Plum. The size of a man’s palm, the plums’ sap is poisonous to most animals, including humans, but not to cassowaries, which consume the fruit with no ill effects. The cassowary and the cassowary plum have a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship. The plum provides food for the cassowary, while the cassowary spreads the seeds of the tree. Next adventure – crocodile hunt – John has been looking forwards to this bit all holiday…. The Estuarine Crocodile is the largest of all living reptiles and an iconic Australian animal, but apparently it doesn’t suffer foolish humans that enter its watery domain…. We head out, hugging the bank of the river formed by mangroves – one foot on the land, one foot in the water, I love their exposed root systems – and we soon find a baby croc, 1.5m long, sunbathing on the mud. Almost cute. The skipper tells us about a large croc, 5m long, called Scarface, who has been seen recently in a nearby creek. Well – I guess we’re not going to be lucky enough to see him…..Oh yes we were – what a creature: broad snout, eyes and nostrils set atop the head, thick skin with embedded bony plates, long muscular tail, streamlined body – one mean daddy. Usually nocturnal, Scarface is out and about as it is the mating season, but will take the opportunity to eat if anything (John?) should come his way. They will eat just about any animal that they can catch and overpower. Small crocodiles feed frequently on small prey, such as insects and crustaceans, whereas larger individuals feed less often and on bigger prey, including water birds, sea turtles, and mammals up to the size of water buffalo. When prey is detected the crocodile makes a stealthy approach under water, keeping any exposure to a minimum. At one point, we could actually tell where Scarface was walking on the riverbed from the mud he disturbed. Once in range the crocodile lunges rapidly and slams its jaws shut on the victim – the force of this alone may be enough to kill it. Small prey is simply crushed and swallowed, however larger prey may be dragged to deeper water before being dismembered and eaten. If the meal is too big to be swallowed whole, the crocodile will grab hold with its jaws and shake violently or roll to tear off a manageable piece. After eating its fill, the crocodile may store the remains in mangroves or underwater to feed on again at a later time. Best not fall overboard then… He swam with the boat for a good 15 minutes. Rather scary to be so close to something so potentially dangerous – also something so prehistoric. Crocodiles haven’t changed much in millions of years – why would they – they are perfectly adapted to survive as they are. We are taken to a private property called Noah Valley, where we hunt for Cassowaries – only their poo to be found I’m afraid – before having lunch in a large picnic hut surrounded by rainforest. The food is certainly not primitive: barbequed steak, fish, salad, damper, and a tropical fruit platter, including a purple-skinned star apple – interesting texture but I liked it. Swim kit on, we take a trail down to Noah Creek, crossing over a deep ravine and heading down to a swimming hole with crystal clear water and, we are assured, croc-free. (We later learn that there are crocs in the creek, they just don’t come down this far…..normally). What a lovely experience. The water is cool, but that’s welcomed in the humidity; the fish seem friendly, and the sun filtering through the canopy is magical. We make a brief trip to Cape Tribulation where the forest meets the reef in spectacular fashion bringing together not only the flora and fauna of forest, but also all the wildlife the reef has to offer. Apparently it is the only place in the world where visitors can witness two heritage listed sites existing side by side in perfect harmony. It’s a lovely spot, and the sea looks very inviting, but crocodiles are happy to play in the surf in the hope of an easy meal, and if it’s not them, it’s the stingers who will get you. Think I’ll keep my toes out on this occasion. A truly fabulous day, quite sad that it had to come to an end.
Angela R Allan, Portree Isle of Skye Scotland (Thank you – it was a really fabulous day. apologies if I’ve got any facts wrong – there was so much to try to remember!)
Gedday Tonys. We absolutely loved the day tour. Wayne, our driver/guide, was excellent – knowledgeable, funny and attentive. He is a real bonus to your business. Your day tour really made our weeks stay in Port Douglas. Thanks Phill and Jeanette 13/06/2016
Dear Tony’s Tropical Tours – You will hopefully be pleased to know that I have already highly recommended Tony’s on Trip Advisor. Tony had an interesting and diverse group of tourists the day we went from 80 year old deaf bird watchers to younger British tourists. He handled it wonderfully and made sure everyone had a great day. The structure of the tour and the accompanying narration was fabulous. We are vegetarians and that was also well catered for. We could not recommend Tony’s any higher. Kind Regards, Mark Borthwick, Elwood Victoria
A fantastic day out.” We booked a private tour ‘A’ as we were two families and could not have been happier. Tony was an excellent tour guide who turned the trip from merely sightseeing in to something special. His attention to detail and customer service was second to none – the food was delicious and plentiful and his knowledge of the local fauna and flora excellent. Yes, we could have probably done the trip ourselves but would have missed so much without Tony and learnt very little about the Daintree and Cape Tribulation….who knew green ants tasted of lemon sherbet?!
“Fantastic day in the rainforest!” The Daintree Rainforest is an outstanding site to visit, and Tony’s provided a great tour with an exceptional guide. Rob led on walking tours through the rainforest, pointing out plants and animals and provided illuminating comments on all we saw. The depth of his knowledge was amazing, and he delivered the information with care and humor, always entertaining and never overwhelming with too much detail. Can’t recommend this full day experience highly enough.
“Tour A ” We were lucky enough to have Steve as our tour guide, he is a gold mind of information and is so enthusiastic about his job. My husband and I had a great time, could not recommend the tour any more we were lucky enough to spot two cassowaries and a croc – an amazing day out, thanks again to our super guide Steve 🙂
Defiantly a must do if you’re lucky enough to visit, the Daintree is a beautiful place and with such a well organised insightful tour you can’t go wrong.
“Cape Tribulation Tour” Just went on a great tour to Bloomfield Falls, Daintree Rainforest and Cape tribulation, Randle was our guide and he was great, saw crocodiles , walked through a rainforest and saw a Cassowary and these were just a few of the highlights. This is a must do tour for anyway coming to Port Douglas. Thanks for a great day. Veronica
“A wildlife and gastronomic smorgasbord” Fabulous day with Petra, super informative, passionate and efficient. A jam packed day with crocs, snakes, spiders and plant life all at a safe distance. The highlight, if that wasn’t enough, was the bbq lunch and beautiful swim in the river followed by the best ice cream you will ever eat. Can’t speak highly enough, great value for the experience.
Hi Maf, We incredibly enjoyed our tour, with Rob as our guide. His years of personal experiences and deep knowledge of the Mossman/Daintree/entire geographical area, and of the rain forest, provided us with an experience that we will not soon forget. I learned much more about the history and background than I imagined I would. I know Rob is an excellent guide, and I hope he continues to provide his expertise and dry humour for years to come. The van we rode in was clean and presentable, and the air con was working well as there was high humidity due to the rains. Rob’s choice of music on the way home was fun, and he always had an answer to our questions. Rob was also quick to point out special plants in the rain forest, and animals. We also had a delightful treat when a cassowary crossed our path during our drive! Rob stopped for a moment so we could observe the bird’s beauty, and he described what we were seeing. The logistics of pickups & dropoffs at the resorts was incredibly helpful to us, as we did not have a car in Port Douglas. Rob was also right on time. Before we left the USA, one of my work colleagues had just returned from Australia, and she had done the Daintree tour through your company, and she only had good things to say. So I was excited before we arrived, that we had picked the right people (Tony’s!). Now that I have experienced your tour company, I can confirm that we went with the right people! Thanks! Mindy 23/02/2016
Hi Maf, Thanks for the tour. It was a brilliant day – the highlight of our stay in Port Douglas! Everything was excellent – from Randall to the transport, the itinerary, the commentary, the food, the crocodiles, the swimming, the walk through the rain forest, the ice creams – and arranging for a Cassowary to walk across the road in front of us at the end of the day was just the icing on the cake. Well done and many thanks. Regards Mike & Mo
Hi There, Your tour was simply our best tour from the vacation. Adrian the guide was superb! He explained a lot, showed us everything there was to see and he could answer all of our questions. And above all, he really brought the group together and made it a pleasant trip for all. The lunch and river swim were amazing! Do keep them in the tour! I’d recommend your tour to everyone! Please share the enclosed photo with Adrian. Greetings from Belgium! Jens
Hi Maf, I am so glad to let you know that our tour was fantastic. It was definitely the highlight of the two week Australian adventure for us. Our tour guide Rob was excellent. He went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. Not only was he willing to snap pictures of us, he also gave us terrific face paints while we went for the swim! The sequence of the tour was well thought out and the dip in freshwater gorge inside the rainforest was amazing. I give this tour a 10/10, would recommend it to any of my friends who intend to travel to Cairns. Regards, Anita 09/03/2016
Hi Tony Daintree, Prior to the tour, we were a little skeptical whether or not to organise our own day out or go through a company such as yours. We were so glad we went through with taking the tour through your company. The overall tour was fantastic and Adrian was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We would defiantly recommend your tour to others. Thanks for the fantastic experience. Cheers, Kane
“Awesome day in the amazing forest” This is a wonderful, personalized, and informative tour of the forest . Tony delivered everything that’s mentioned in the reviews and went beyond our expectations! The lunch in the tree house was delicious! Tony is very knowledgeable, and we learned so much about the animals, insects, and all the vegetation in the rain forest. We did get to taste the green ants ( without killing them ). Tony has a good sense of humor and we really enjoyed his company! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Port Douglas. Sincerely USA
Hi. Just wanted to give you some feedback on our recent adventure with Tony’s Tropical Tours. Overall, we had a wonderful time on the Daintree Rainforest tour. It was a very, very pleasant and enjoyable experience. Angela, our tour guide, did a superb job!!! She surely made the experience a memorable and very enjoyable one. Angela was very entertaining, provided us with interesting facts of the toured region, as well as just being an exceptional guide. I would highly recommend others to have Angela as a guide. We were very pleased with all her efforts. Seeing all the lovely sights, flora and fauna, was definitely a highlight. Most assuredly something we wouldn’t have wanted to miss on our recent visit to Australia. The transportation, food, and light-hearted spirit were all appreciated. I would highly recommend your tour company to others, as Tony’s Tropical Tours provided a memorable and very pleasant experience! Your efforts are greatly appreciated, mates! Regards,David & Pamela Carleton from California, USA
Hi Tonys Tropical Tours – A little feedback on our trip. We spent a month in Australia visiting places like Melbourne, Brisbane, Darwin, Australia zoo, Jet Ski safari in Whitsunday islands, Sky Rail to Kuranda, diving on the great barrier reef. Even Hong Kong & Singapore. Can honestly say your trip was the highlight of our holiday. We’ve never seen a rain forest before, so we found it breath taking. So glad we stayed in Port Douglas, Which is so close to this amazing eco system. I even swam in Mossman river, got it all on video. We enjoyed it so much, we travelled to Mossman the following day for a second helping. Our guide, cannot remember his name but he was a very well informed old fellow (see photos) his knowledge on plant life was amazing. Who knows, we may even return in a couple of years. Anyway, thank you for opening our eyes to another world. Steve & Stephanie Brentwood, Essex UK
Hi, I was actually just looking for an opportunity to give some feedback. The tour with Angela ruined the rest of my trip… Because it has completely overshadowed every other tour I’ve done while in Australia. Angela was an amazing guide; she was knowledgeable, funny, and a great host. I cannot say enough good things about her! She made the day in the rainforest the highlight of my vacation by far. I’ve already recommended the tour to a couple people I’ve met during the rest of my trip and will continue to mention it to people. It was an absolutely amazing tour! Thank you so much! Best, Avi
Good morning Team at Tonys Tropical Tours. This is just to say what a completely AMAZING adventure. Tony simply made our adventure complete – so much knowledge – not a single question unanswered – expect why Aus don’t have the Ashes LOL ! He simply opened our eyes to nature that we simply would have otherwise not have spotted or simply not appreciated – all this combined with some exclusive insights to both Daintree Forest and the Gorge – where else can you swim upstream in a private lodge with crocs making their home kms further downstream. And what a really nice chap too. Thank so much again, Nicky and family ( booked a private tour), Carindale Queensland
Hi Maf: hats off to you and Tony. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have already recommended you to several people looking to travel to the Daintree. Our guide Angela was a gem and a wealth of knowledge making the day enjoyable and fun. All of the venues were great and the day was out of the box. We believe that we got value for money. Please pass our best on to Angela and again thank you. Kind regards, Chris & Heidi, Chisholm ACT
Hi Tony, Just to let you guys know, I had a thoroughly great day on tour with you. I apologise I can not remember the name of our guide but she was excellent, entertaining, knowledgeable and made the whole day very enjoyable. It was a pity we didn’t see any crocs but that just goes to show its real nature and sometime these beasts just don’t fit in with our schedules. But it was made up by seeing a cassowary and three chicks in the wild, a rare sight I believe. The food was excellent and the swim in the river by the rapids just topped off a great day. Once again many thanks for a great time, I cannot recommend it any higher. – Keep doing what you are doing and look after Daintree, it’s a magical place !!! Kind Regards Graham Ambridge Somerset, England
Hi Maf – Just a quick note to tell you we loved the tour. Of all the tours we did, this one really stood out for being so well organised yet never feeling rushed, with such a great range of sights and experiences.
Randall was a great guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He was funny, imformative and really seemed to both enjoy what he was doing and wanted us to have the best day possible.
I’d love to offer some kind of constructive feedback but all I have is praise. Kind regards Christopher
“Incredible Tour with Tony” We went out with Tony on a small group tour of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. Wow. It was incredible. We had a wonderful time on the tour. It was exactly what we were looking for, a small personalized tour without the crush of mega buses. The chance to see the 2 adult male Cassowary with the babies was just incredible…we feel so lucky to have seen them in the wild. Tony was fabulous as our guide and we would highly recommend Tony’s Tropical Tours to anyone visiting the Daintree. Andrew W
Hi Maf, the tour was really great and so was Wayne. He’s the sort of a guide that every traveller wants to meet – he knows so many things, is patient, funny and really willing to help. Also the food was delicious and of course the surrounding itself. I also have to thank you for all your kindness and help! All in all, we really loved the whole day and that’s why I also wrote a review on Trip advisor for you guys, to show you how much we enjoyed the day and also to let other people know how good you guys are! 🙂 Thanks for everything and greetings from really cold&snowy Slovenia, Urša
Good morning Maf, A note to let you know that we had the best day. It was so lovely, well organised and Randell was really great. He was polite, informative and made sure we had a lovely day. He is credit to your company. I will recommend him and your company to whomever i know is travelling to Australia. Also your tour was very good value for money and we all came away fascinated and full of information. To impress an 18 year old and 20 year old (my son and daughter) it takes some doing and they had the best time. So thank you very much for making our trip special Randell and Tony’s Tropical Tours. When i find the time this week i will put a comment on tripadvisor. Regards Lisa Crichton. 30.09.15
Hey Maf, We really enjoyed out our. The biggest benefit was having a full day to explore different parts of the Daintree without doing all of the planning myself. In addition, Wayne was a great guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided lots of commentary during the drives. Taylor 24/09/2015
Hi Tony’s Tropical Tours, We want to give great feedback about your Tour A but we didn’t know how to do it on your website. Maybe you could write it on your website. The Daintree tour through your company was fantastic and well worth the money and time. It offered quite a bit of variety in one fun and fact filled day while not feeling rushed. Randall was full of interesting information and after hearing about the rare Cassowary, we were quite thrilled when toward the end of the day he spotted one with his baby. Thank you! We hope to visit your beautiful country again one day. Erin Heckman and family.
Tony’s Tropical Daintree, We thoroughly enjoyed the trip with you to the Daintree Rainforest. Our driver did an excellent job, very helpful, courteous, safe driving and knowledgeable. He seemed to have a feel for how all of us were doing on the trip and whether we wanted a little extra time at any given stop or even a bit less. I’d highly recommend the trip to anyone!!! The stop we made for lunch and a walk in the rainforest was great, really better than I would have expected (and a nice way to help support someone trying to live in the area). Feel free to forward my name/address to anyone who might want a personal recommendation to help push them over the edge to take the trip.Arvid Weflen PS – We made it back to Alaska recently – kind of tired from travelling but had a wonderful time down under. The weather was perfect and the people were superb!!
Hi Maf, we had a fantastic time on your tour in August. We loved being part of a small group, we got to know each other quite well during the day and shared travel experiences which was especially beneficial to our 16 year old son! The tour was extremely informative and led to further research on our arrival home in the UK. My husband and son particularly enjoyed the lunch and swim in the waters after lunch! Huge thanks to our tour guide Tony, would recommend this tour to everyone. Best regards Deborah Murray
Good morning Tony’s Tours, We did Tour A with Angela. She was incredible, very informative and helpful. She explained a lot, showed us everything there was to see and she could answer all of our questions. And above all, she really brought the group together and made it a pleasant trip for all. Not only was she informative keeping all members of the trip engaged, she was an expert in how to get a good photograph and also telling us when to wait for a better photo opportunity. We had great weather and the cruise on the river was pleasant and we saw many crocs. We all enjoyed spotting wild life and at the end of the day we saw a cassowary. Extremely well organised with a boat trip, coffee, tea and cakes and a excellent lunch. Also the river swim was amazing. This was one of the best days we had during our four weeks in Australia. I’d recommend your Daintree Rainforest tour to everyone! Thank you Maartje en Annette from Holland
Thank you Tony for making our private excursion into the Daintree Rainforest such an interesting and enjoyable day! Your humor and knowledge was appreciated by all, and we are a tough audience! We can’t believe how much territory we covered. The day was busy but never rushed. The only thought would be if we could have the alligator sighting cruise on the way back in the afternoon when the tide was low so more crocodiles would be visible. ITs not as efficient, time-wise, but the possibility of crocodile sightings apparently are much higher. That said, we were lucky enough to see crocs at high tide and we enjoyed the cruise! The rustic lunch in the rainforest was great. And thanks for the Daintree tea and “man-made” biscuits! We felt very honoured to have had the VIP treatment with Tony as our guide. Grant and Debbie Uba, Lauren and Grant Jr, Glenn and Shari Morinishi, Cory and Nikki
Hi there, we felt very priviledged to have been able to spend time with Tony his knowledge and enthusiasm for Queensland and the Daintree rainforest brought the area to life for us. All elements were enjoyable especially the river swim. We really couldn’t have been happier. We really did appreciate the professionalism of your business regarding the change of tour and the promptness of the telephone call updating us on the change of circumstances on our planned tour and the very prompt refund on the price difference. I have nothing but positives to say about the experience we shared with Tony’s Tropical Tours and will recommend this to all we know, Kindest regards,Michael & Melissa
Dear Tony, Your tour was A+ all the way. I had an excellent time. My guide, Adrian, was incredible. He was very knowledgeable, experienced and easy to talk to. Please consider giving him a raise, he was the best guide I had in 10 weeks of travel!I would recommend Tony’s to anyone travelling through Port Douglas. Thank you again for the great day, Ryan
Hi Maf, We had an absolutely brilliant day whilst out on the tour. Our guide Randal was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about the areas he took us too and was always happy to answer any questions we had. We would highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting Port Douglas in the future! All in all we had the most amazing day with plenty of photo opportunities and loved the ice cream stop on the way home! Kind regards, Lyndsey and Adam, Durham England
Hi Tony’s Tropical Tours, I’m pleased to report that the tour was the highlight of our trip. Angela was an absolutely incredible and insightful tour guide and everyone in the group loved her energy and enthusiasm. We will be recommending this tour to all our friends. Cheers, Emma Smith
Hi Maf, I would like to express our thoughts on our trip to the Daintree Forest, I had a long time girl friend visiting me from London and she wished to go to North Queensland and see the reef, I thought while she was up there it would be a great opportunity to visit the Daintree as well. My Son his wife and children had previously used Tony’s Tours to do a similar trip but they went to Cooktown as well. We both thoroughly enjoyed our trip with you. it was very informative and the morning tea and lunch was enjoyable and I would have no hesitation in recommending Tony’s to my friends. Regards June Stewart
Hi, David and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip B to Daintree Rainforest. Our guide was a credit to your company. It was lovely to have a small group and I would recommend this to others. My travel agent had their recommended tour companies and yours was not on it but after reading experiences of others I decided to go with your company and was not disappointed. Thank you for helping to make our holiday to the area so memorable Holidays are too few and far between for many of us . I am still enjoying the Daintree tea I purchased up there . It is a nice reminder of our trip. kind regards, Jannine Bloesch
Hi, my husband and I did Tour A last week with the fantastic Angela. She made our Daintree and Cape Trib an amazing experience. She needs to be commended for her professionalism, passion for the outdoors and knowledge. Any question that was asked she was thoroughly equipped with answers. We learned so much, beyond what we could have imagined. There was never any problem she couldn’t handle. We had one lady in our group that was not a fast walker and she always thought of her and waited so as not to make her feel uncomfortable, which I thought was very considerate. I will definitely be recommending your company for future tours as the entire experience was one we will never forget. Thank you to Tropical Tours but most of all ‘Angela’. Kindest Katey and Nick – Sydney
“Best Tour into the Daintree Rainforest from Port Douglas” We had an excellent time on our tour into Daintree Rainforest. Everything went to plan – we were picked up on time in a very comfortable vehicle and a very knowledgable, pleasant and entertaining guide. Extremely well organised with a boat trip, coffee and cakes and a excellent ‘surf and turf’ lunch. We were very pleased our agent in GB Regent Tours, recommended Tonys Tours. Thank you Dave and Janet
This tour was superb. Adrian was really good fun, informative and overall an excellent host. It was a great way to spend a day and it was one of the best things we did while on holiday in Australia. We were very lucky with the weather too. I would thoroughly recommend you guys. Andrew Dodds
I had a very enjoyable time on the tour! Adrian was a great guide, very knowledgeable and friendly! I think the highlight for me was going for a swim. I have dietary restrictions, so I really appreciated that you guys accommodated for that. I am so glad I signed up for the tour! Thanks, Amy Vangstad
We absolutely loved it!!! Completely exceeded our expectations. Adrian was awesome and sooooo personable..: not only did we see great places his extensive knowledge of the area really helped us learn about the landscape, Australian history and the animals that dwell in the Daintree. It’s a beautiful place and Adrian really added to the day… It really helps the when your guide has such passion for his job and such respect & pride for his area. We had an amazing day and have told our friends all about you guys and that it’s well worth the day trip with Tony’s Tropical Tours. Thank you for the experience. Jenn & Paul
Our day in the Daintree Rainforest with Chris as our guide was amazing. There were just two couples and Chris. Our day was at a relaxed pace seeing everything on our itinerary. Most of all we thoroughly enjoyed the whole day outdoors, our tea and snack was outside, our lunch was outside not in the usual crowded touristy places. We did make comment to Chris about it. Thank you so much for such a pleasurable day and memories forever. Best Wishes, Lyn and Geoff Smith
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. Our guide Dave was a font on knowledge on the rainforest and the area in general . Not only was he informative keeping all members of the trip engaged, he was an expert in how to get a good photograph no matter the subject he was also keen to show people how to get the best out of their cameras and also telling us when to wait for a better photo opportunity, he knew exactly where all the big spiders where. It was a great experience which I would recommend to all visitors the area. Many thanks for a great experience. Paul Davies, Liverpool, UK.
We certainly did enjoy our day out with your company to the Daintree Rainforest on the 17th of March. Adrian was our guide for the day and he was excellent, we really enjoyed his knowledge of the area and we certainly learned a lot about the various trees in the Rainforest from him. We were picked up on time and our day went exceptionally well, we enjoyed lunch in the rainforest and Mossman Gorge was beautiful, we were lucky with good weather for the day too. The four of us all felt at the end of the day that Adrian had been a brilliant tour guide. Thank you for a great tour. Frank and Anne Canis
Dear Tony. Well where to begin…….. what a fabulous time we had on your wonderful informative tour of the beautiful Daintree Rainforest. We loved the whole experience – the tour, the food, the company (other tourists), the rainforest experience – oh just everything.
It was an absolute pleasure to take this tour, such an intimate small group of diverse people of different nations brought together so skilfully by our wonderfully informative and knowledgeable tour guide – Rob. We would definitely be happy tour do this tour again and would absolutely thoroughly recommend this tour as a must to all who venture to Port Douglas. Thank you, thank you thank you. Denise Jordan.
Firstly I would like to thank your organisation for a wonderful trip had last week, with your host David, the tour was excellent and David’s knowledge and history of the area was paramount, his knowledge of the rain forest and plant life was also excellent, it rates as one of the best tours we have been on, i will definitely recommend this tour to anybody visiting Port Douglas or Cairns area Thank you once again. Regards Dave & Tricia Booth
We had an awesome day with Tony’s tropical tours. Our guide Dave took us on Tour A on Australia Day. We had a small group of only 7 people and all young and well-travelled. Dave was super interactive from the outset and really encouraged us all to chat and get to know each other by sharing his experiences. Dave’s knowledge and understand of this beautiful part for the world, really made the day. He was passionate about his work and it came through all during the day. We also met Bruce during the day, as we boarded the boat for the Daintree river cruise and saw two crocodiles. Bruce was also very passionate about what he does for a living and this came through with his ability to provide the same tour day in day out with humour and fun. One of my favourite parts of the day was the swim Noah Valley – the water was so fresh and really gave a refresh before the rest of the tour. Top tip don’t when they tell you not to wear dark colours, don’t. We didn’t but others did and the march flies loved them. Bring your own bug spray and suncream location, it is hot and the bugs will be around all day but we applied our own bug spray a couple of times in the day and we weren’t bitten once. Thanks Dave for one of the best tours we have done for a while, really enjoyed your dorky jokes but most of all the fact you love your job, we need more people like you in tourism. Thanks, Tara M Evans
I just wanted to report we thoroughly enjoyed our Tour with Adrian and have today posted a review under the name RWWDevon on Trip Advisor. Again many thanks for the introduction to the rainforest, which was a splendid pre cursor to the forests of Borneo a few weeks later, With Best wishes Rob & Christina Woodroffe
Had a fantastic day out with you guys, it was our favourite trip of our month long stay in Oz and we did quite a few! It was particularly special because we were the only two people on our tour and Adrian was the best, you couldn’t ask for a better tour guide he was so funny and very knowledgeable we learnt so much, he also took some excellent photo’s for us and some very funny video’s of us in the torrential rain that we had that day. Please give our thanks to Adrian, he is a top bloke! Tell him our favourite bit was cow bay! (laugh out load) and wish him a happy holiday in Japan. We have some friends who are visiting Oz at the end of the year and we will definitely recommend they do one of your tours, thanks again. Kind regards, Julie and Dave Lloyd
Hi Daintree, Tony was so knowledgeable and entertaining! We loved the guided tour of the plants in the rainforest and lunch was great. The river tour was made exciting with the sight of a 4 metre crocodile looking mean (!) and Tony was great fun. Then, the opportunity to bathe in a mountain stream doesn’t happen very often in England (unless you want to freeze to death) so that was something we hadn’t done before! And finally, to round off a fantastic day we spotted a cassowary drinking in the creek on the way home – perfect honeymoon treat! Many thanks, Nicola and Christian
We had a fabulous day with Adrian. I noticed that Ravi from Singapore wrote a very detailed report of our tour on TripAdvisor – we were the Canadian couple! And all I can add to Ravi’s report, is ditto! Adrian was great with all the guests, even got the teens to ignore their cell phones! We loved your neck of the woods and would highly recommend ‘Tony’s Tropical Tours’ to anyone. Thanks for a great day and great memories of Australia. Deb and Bob Sherwood, Osoyoos, BC
Hi Maf, Back in Sunny England, tropical but without the heat!!!!!. We had a great day out with you. It was good value for money, with interesting and informative commentary, throughout. It was one of the highlights of our trip although I did like the way that you stuck the lizards on the trees so they could be found! The afternoon tea and swim were welcome; nice to get in the water away from the crocodiles on the coast. Dave was enthusiastic and informative and we had an extremely good day. Thanks to all concerned. Jane and Gervase
Thanks for your email. We are now back in cold and dreary UK but have very fond memories of Australia. Tonys Tropical Tours certainly helped to make it a very special time in the Cairns area. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and found Chris very sociable and very knowledgable. He certainly enjoys his job (and who could blame him!). He looked after us extremely well. A friend in the UK recommended your company and you lived up to expectations. I have put a review on Trip Advisor. Kind regards Liz Taylor
Hi Tony, We just finished a rain forest tour and our guide was Adrian. We want to express our gratitude and highlight the fact that Adrian (Stevie) made our tour extremely enjoyable, providing us with wonderful facts and because he enjoys what he does it was exciting and loads of fun. He related to both adults and children and we want say thankyou for such an amazing day it will be remember for a long time to come. Thank you and please pass on our thanks to Adrian we believe we had the best guide today. Thanks Dimitri, Helen, Rebekah, Aaron, Isabella, Chris, Kyle and Jessie
We really enjoyed our tour of the Daintree Forest. Adrian was a perfect guide from the minute we were picked up to our drop off at the end of great day. It was very clear that he was very knowledgeable and passionate about his environment. We would not hesitate to recommend you to anybody travelling to The Daintree area. Kind Regards Steve & Carol
Dear Tony. When I booked the tour, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Yours was one of the many tours (small and big) that we did during our three week stay in Australia. Your tour was amazing and wonderful. Chris’ self taught knowledge of the flora and fauna and willingness to share it was outstanding – he was also terrific at interacting with our 9 yr old twins and made it interesting for them. Chris is one of the best tour guides in the world (literally) that we’ve had. The quality of the tea and the lunch was terrific (I’m running out of adjectives here :)) All in all, we really enjoyed the tour of the rainforest, even if we didn’t see a cassowary. I am so glad that my friend mentioned that we should see the rainforest – I didn’t even realize it was there. I will recommend Tony’s tours to others. Thanks for giving us a great day in the rainforest. Rachel, Colorado USA
Hi Tony. I’d like to compliment you all on the marvelous tours you run. My wife Rosemary and I took a tour last Wednesday August 14th. The resort we stayed at mucked up the booking but the lady in the office was very helpful and ensured that we were able to change to an alternative day, as the day we thought we had booked was sold out! We both found the tour to be fantastic and so informative, thanks to the very knowledgable and personable Chris. I’d happily recommend your tour to anyone. Well done! Ian and Rosemary Donnelly. Our tour of the Daintree Forest, including crocodiles on the Daintree River and a great bbq lunch, was amazing. It was the highlight of our stay in Cairns and Port Douglas. Our guide was fantastic. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and took a personal interest in our comfort and gave lots of attention to our questions. He was also a careful driver, which I appreciated! We will and already have recommended this tour to our friends and wish you all the best with your business. Best Regards, Pattie Myers, Santa Rosa CA
We had an absolutely fabulous time. Adrian is a brilliant guide, great sense of humour and a fantastic knowledge of the area. We learnt so much and came away appreciating how lucky we are to have access to such a beautiful place. We were so impressed. Every detail was covered, even down to how we liked our steaks cooked! I read about your tours on Trip Advisor and can honestly say that you deserve your number one rating. (Adrian still needs to come up with a good reason as to why Leeches exist!). Thanks for having us, we would definitely do it again and have highly recommended the tour to everyone we can. Cheers, Nicole and Stephen.
Randall was very informative and helpful. Our UK visitors were very impressed with the service, especially that Randall made fresh tea and coffee when we stopped (and the food was good too!). The tour was excellent. Bill, one of our friends, wasn’t all that keen about going, but at the end of the day he said it was better than the Barrier Reef. It was great for them to learn about the forest and to see all the different plants etc. They particularly enjoyed seeing Cowie Beach and the educational walk through the forest at the end. Gary (my husband) I had been through the forest before so particularly enjoyed seeing the Bloomfield Falls but also really enjoyed the rest of the tour. The cruise on the river was pleasant and interesting even though we didn’t see any crocs. The car was very comfortable and the day was not too long for everything we did. The final stop at the Ice cream Factory was the icing on the cake! We’ll definitely recommend your tours to others, good wishes Di Brown
Dear Tony’s Rainforest Tours. I just wanted to write and let you know how much we enjoyed our tour yesterday. The sites were beautiful, the food delicious and we came home very tired but so happy. More importantly though, I can’t speak highly enough of Chris. He was full of life, very engaging, and so informative. He made everyone feel included, was very good natured and was able to chat to us as though we’d known him for years. It’s so obvious that he not only enjoys his job but is genuinely passionate about the tour and preserving the delicate environments we visited. He left a real positive impact and should be congratulated. Thank you again for a perfect day, it was the definite highlight of our trip. Please pass on our regards to Chris 🙂 Sonja & Bisera
Hi Tony and Maf. “I loved every minute of Tony’s Tour A. We had Adrian who was simply the best tour guide I’ve had. From the moment he picked us up at our accommodation, he put us on the right foot being so warm and friendly and introducing us all to each other. He called the seven of us “team” and we all got along really well which made the trip extra special with lots of laughter. The progression of the tour from Mossman to Alexandra look out to crocodile tour to Noah Valley to Cape Trib was perfect. We had just the right amount of time at each place. The crocodile tour was perfect as well, short and sweet, but we saw two crocs! Lunch in a tiny rainforest shelter was absolutely magical and full of delicious, “real” food (not fussy or heavily processed). Going on a tour after the cyclone, we couldn’t go swimming, but I was so captivated by the rainforest, the swollen river and the tour that I can’t stay sad about it. The hikes were perfect, secluded, but not too long or too rough. Cape Tribulation was the perfect length stop, enough for a short walk and photo op, as there wasn’t much to do there. I can’t really express how exactly perfect this tour was. At the end of the day, I was dreamy but not exhausted which is great. Best tour I’ve EVER been on and I can’t imagine liking it more.
You just can’t go wrong with a Tony’s tour (and the price was just right, as well). Julianne rogers, ridgehaven SA
We enjoyed last 16th of Oktober in the Daintree Forest with our guide Randall. We were in a group of 8 people. The car was clean and comfortable, time and programs were really well respected. Randall knows the forest perfektly and he makes his job really good ; he could interest us and could explain this tropical environement and the lives of the animals. We were lucky to see a casoar because our guide has an experimented eye. The touroperator is serious and the tour good organized. Thanks for this nice experience.
Kind regards,Thierry
Our tour of the Daintree Forest, including crocodiles on the Daintree River and a great bbq lunch, was amazing. It was the highlight of our stay in Cairns and Port Douglas. Our guide was fantastic. Hi Team at Tony’s Tropical Tours, The tour was the highlight of our trip up north. Rob was such a great guide. His knowledge of everything in the area is amazing and you can tell he is passionate about the environment. We’ve been telling everyone about how much we enjoyed it. We have a couple of good pics we took with Rob, I will email them through and you can use them if you wish. Say hello to Rob for Matt and I and ask him if he’s updated his CDs in the van yet? 🙂 many thanks, Rickie and Matt from Canberra. Ps I’m now hooked on Daintree tea thanks to the morning tea break we had. I’m getting low on stock. Can you buy it online?
Last Thurs ( 26th Sept ) my wife and I went on Tour B with Rob as our driver/guide. We were extremely impressed with the quality of transportation and the friendliness and expertise of Rob. He was informative and both of us enjoyed his stories of Australian history. The sights and company on that day will stay with us for a long time. To the company and Rob, well done and we are spreading the word back in Victoria as to the fabulous tour. The group comprised mostly teachers and Ros and I feel that we will be back and have a repeat. Thanks again for a great time. Ros and Glenn de Moore.
Hi Maf, My daughter, daughter-in-law and myself had an absolutely marvellous time on your tour. We loved every part of it for different reasons. We didn’t see a crocodile (I wasn’t terribly disappointed, although I wouldn’t have minded seeing one on the bank!!) Randal our tour guide was very informative and interesting, although I think he thought we were a bit of a dull group. The lunch was amazing – all in all a trip that I would thoroughly recommend to anyone and everyone. Thank you.
This was one of the highlights of our trip, it was EXCELLENT! We visited all the mentioned places with Rob, he is really AWESOME! He knows how to entertain people with all his knowledge about the different locations of the rainforest, and he also knows the history behind all the places as well.
We really loved the lunch and the swim at Noah Valley. The stroll along “The Gateway To Paradise” was AMAZING! Rob took care of us from start to end, we are recommending this tour to anyone visiting Port Douglas. Thanks a lot for the unforgettable experience. Samuel.
Hi Maf. I thought I had sent you an email regarding thanking you so much for your tour, but I think this did fall through the cracks! As we got married in Port Douglas too, it has been a busy time thanking everyone involved and normal routine stuff back home! Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Dave who took us on our Daintree tour! We had a fantastic time and it was one of the highlights of our wedding holiday! Dave was very knowledgeable, fun and engaging. We loved every moment of the tour, especially seeing and being on the untouched beaches! When we come back for an anniversary in years to come, we are sure to book another tour with you guys! In the meantime we will be recommending to friends if they are travelling up your way. We have so many magical photos to relive the experience for years to come. Thanks again – a very magical experience that we will never forget. Shiree and Robbie plus Dene
Dear Tonys Tropical Tours. Apologies for not getting in touch with you before. We wanted to say a huge thank you to you as we were the people who got our days mixed up and you very kindly made a special trip to pick us up from the Reef Resort hotel and took us to Mossman Gorge to meet up with the rest of our group! Our tour guide kept us entertained all day. We really enjoyed the day – nothing was too much trouble for Adrian and we felt really well looked after. It was great to have a knowledgeable guide to take us on a trek through the rainforest and tell us about the fauna and flora. We loved seeing crocodiles on the Daintree, the very refreshing swim in the river (thankfully crocodile free!), and the lovely lunch provided for us. Altogether a wonderful day. With our kindest regards. Heather, Bob and Amy Cooke. Middlesex UK

Dear Tony, I am writing to say how much my wife and I enjoyed our tour of Bloomfield Falls, Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation recently. As a member of Western Australia’s ‘Native Animal Rescue’ and the author of “The Veto Conspiracy’ I am always wary of guided tours such as this. However, our tour leader Dave was excellent and knowledgeable on the topics of the environment, animals and history of the region. We were lucky enough to see a tree kangaroo which made the tour well worthwhile. We will recommend this tour to any of our friends who may travel to Port Douglas in the future. Please pass on our best wishes to Dave. Regards John Tobin
Hi Tony’s Tropical Tours -Just wanted to give you a quick note to let you know that Sarah and I had an excellent day with you on Thursday! The tour was well presented a well-structured and extremely informative day! Our guide’s knowledge on the rainforest and all aspects of it was impressive to say the least! The whole day he had us laughing and joking and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! The lunch was brilliant and the swimming hole so relaxing! It was nice to be away from the crowds travelling with other tour groups! Thanks again, Tom -Port Douglas

Just wanted to say my friend Lara and I had a fantastic day out with your tour guide Adrian, visiting all the sites and learning so much on the way.
We highly recommend your tour and will definitely be coming back one day, hopefully very soon to experience another one. Thank you
Regards Janet and Lara
Dear Tony, We have been quite busy recently with our trip and going back to Austria. So I am a bit late with writing to you. Well your tour was one of our highlights in Australia. We enjoyed the small group and our Guide Adrian was great. He was so funny and making us all feeling good and not like strangers. The spots were great and we loved it. Wow and the lunch was great!!!!!!!! Really good food of great quality. So we can only recommend your tour. And thanks again to Adrian!!!! He did a great job!!!! And we really had the feeling he enjoys his job!!! Best wishes from Austria -Johanna and Christian Vienna Austria
We had a fantastic day which was very well organised from the pick up in the morning to being dropped off at our accommodation in the evening. The day was made all the more enjoyable by our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, had a great sense of humour and was able to keep all members of the group interested. I did notice he coped particularly well with some of the personalities in the group and managed to keep every one engaged.
The lunch was delicious and in such a beautiful setting. We all enjoyed spotting wild life and to top off the day we saw a cassowary.
This trip was one of the highlights of our stay in Australia and we are singing your praises to our friends in the UK. Please give our regards to Chris and thank him for making the day so special. We have some happy memories of our time in the Daintree Rainforest and would love to return.
Kind Regards – Sara , Andrew, Bethan and Lucy Crawshaw
We had a great time up in Port Douglas and your tour was one of our highlights! We saw so much and it was great that it was just our small group with Dave showing us around we all had a really wonderful day and would recommend your company to our family and friends in the future! We felt we got off the beaten track and really enjoyed all aspects of the tour including the meals! Thanks again Yasmin and family
My Mother and I were very impressed with the tour we participated in. Our tour leader Tony was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We loved how intimate the tour group was and the amount of information we received along the way. The scenery and views were breathtaking and it was great to get away (where possible) from the copious amounts of other tour groups along the way. Tony had a very keen eye which meant we had more encounters with wildlife. I’m glad we did the research on the companies offering tours and can understand why your company received such high praise in your feedback and reviews. Our only small disappointment was we were unable to spot a Cassowary which is obviously out of your hands. We enjoyed our tour so much we have recommended other tourists to book through you, and would not hesitate to recommend family and friends. You have a truly outstanding tour that went above and beyond our high expectations! Kind regards, Sarah Sullivan
We had the best time on our Tony’s Tropical Tours. We were with Randall and thought he did a wonderful job. Without bombarding us with too much information too fast, he was constantly telling us very interesting facts about the forest, the region, and many other things. Thank you so much for a great day in an amazing place!! It could not have gone better. Callie Jenevein and Eric Diamonstein
Hi, I just wanted to write to say what a great time I had on Tour A I did with a friend on Thursday 18 July. Adrian was our guide and he was fantastic. He looked after us all really well. Would you please pass on my thanks to him. The scenery was amazing and the day was very enjoyable. Congratulations on a wonderful tour in such a beautiful part of the world. I hope to be back one day soon to soak it all up again. Kind regards, Debbie Edwards
Hi Tony’s -Thanks so much for a great day on your tour, we had a wonderful time and have been recommending it to all our friends. Chris was an enthusiastic guide, very knowledgeable and made the day most enjoyable for us. It was fascinating to hear all about the rainforest and how it worked, the guided walk through your property was amazing! Thanks again to you and your team for a great day! Regards, Rob Buchanan
I would have to say Tony’s Tropical Tour was the best tour I have ever been on. Everything was really well organised and ran smoothly. Adrian was just lovely and such a breath of fresh air with his passion and knowledge. I had a wonderful day and especially enjoyed Cape Tribulation and the ice creamery! I would definitely recommend your tour to anyone travelling to Port Douglas. Kind regards Grace Brumby
Hello there,Now we are back Oz I can email a big thank you. We did the private tour with Tony into the rainforest and had a blast. What we were able to see and learn especially for the kids will stay for us for ever. Neil has the bragging rights for swimming in the gorge, Harry will continue with his school recycling and his passion for the rainforest, while Anne and myself will always smile when we think of green ants. It was a long day but definitely worth it and seeing a cassaware on the way out was priceless.Thank you, The Burrows Family.
Hi there. On Friday 19th July i was taken on a tour with my 4 friends. We had Adrian as our tour guide. I would just like to commend him for making it the most brilliant, fun and exciting tour i have been on. He was kind and helpful the whole day and most of all made it very entertaining for us. I would like this message to be passed on to him. In the future, i would most definitely choose to go on Tonys Tours and will request Adrian for myself and recommend him to anyone who travels to the Daintree. It was the highlight of my trip! Thanks, Erin.

A big THANK YOU to Rob for a great day out on my dream tour of the Rainforest, Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation on Friday You made the day so enjoyable and I would highly recommend the tour to anyone! Wish you all the best, Annette & Micheal
Dear Tony, A short note to let you know how much my sister & I enjoyed our tour yesterday. Dave was friendly, knowledgeable and engaged us all with his wit and narrative. Our knowledge and understanding of the valuable and spectacular part of our country has been truly enhanced. Best wishes for future endeavours. Jan Gillespie and Kay Bevan.
Hi Tony.Just wanted to pass on my congratulations on a great job to Dave.we had a fantastic experience and Dave was very helpful , informative and entertaining as guide. we loved the tour. Regards Dale Hovenden
Dear Friends, Yesterday, my friend Diana and I had an amazing day touring with Dave as our guide. He’s so informative, pleasant, professional and hilarious. What a combo. What a guy. Turned us on to Vegemite. Need I say more? His love of his country, it’s natural treasures and the people is infectious. I got a personal lesson in Aussie slang from him and two other Aussie’s from Adelaide that will make me the most popular mom when I get home to New York City. That’s important stuff. It was also a blast to run into Adrian’s group along the day. The two of them certainly have a second career in stand-up with antics both verbal and physical. The bloke in the middle is an American. As you can see, he gets to the gym regularly. It was all in fun and I thought I’d share this image of the kind of guides we love. All the best, Barbara Glickstein
Just wanted to let you know the group of 7, The Pollock party absolutely raved about Dave’s guiding and the tour. Cheers and Thank you Karen –VILLA SAN MICHELE
Hi, my wife Maureen and I were so happy to have chosen your Tour A to go on last Monday June 10th 2013. The entire Tour was outstanding and Tour Guide Adrian displayed a vast knowledge of all facets of the areas and flora. We would like to pass on our congratulations and would recommend the tour to people of all ages. ( We are Amanda and I both felt the A-Tour was the highlight of our recent 7-day stay at Port D.! An amazing and beautiful area, and Adrian’s obvious enthusiasm-and knowledge-for/of the Daintree enhanced the whole experience. All we need now is a cool $6.5 mill. for the Ice Cream Company…..! PS- even having done this tour for the first time, we’d be ready to do it again (or go for the ‘B’ tour), on our next visit to Port, it really was that good! Best wishes, Vic and Amanda Ranzetta both in our 70’s ).
On Friday last my wife and I joined your tour to The Daintree Rainforest ,Cape Tribulation via Mossman Gorge. We were picked up from outside The Meriden at Port Douglas and the six of us made off with Adrian our Guide and Driver for the day. We had the most fantastic and interesting day, this was only enhanced by the expertise, knowledge and sense of humour of Adrian, he is a Great Guy and an even Greater asset to the tour company, please thank him again for looking after us so well and we look forward to a return trip on our next visit. Just a further message for Adrian which he will understand and that is if he ever comes to London please ask him to get in touch and I will “Show him my Jewels”. With all good wishes and thanks again for a trip that will always remain in our memories. Kindest Regards David & Vivienne Thomas
Dear Tony -Your tour completely exceeded our expectations. Jenn & Paul Londt
Good morning from chilly Stockholm! We are just home from our wonderful trip to Australia. I thoroughly enjoyed my Daintree Rainforest Trip. It was very well organised and the guide was brilliant. Very informative and pleasant. There were plenty of breaks along the way too, which was great since it’s a long day. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting that area. I appreciated also that it was such a small group. Thanks for a great day! All the best, Geraldine Marry
Dear Maf, One of the highlights of our trip to Port Douglas and the Daintree was the walk through ‘jungle’ type forest. There was a real connection with the rainforest during the walk. The rains came and we all had umbrellas but it was an experience that we won’t forget. A real privilege to have experienced it. Tony was very informative and nothing was too much trouble. It was great how he involved everyone in the conversation. My partner Rob enjoyed the swim. I watched from the safety of the banks….I must mention the ice cream which was so good. Overall a great day and we would recommend it. Best regards & thank you, Grant Lee & Robert Cannell.
Dear Maf- Just to say that our group was very pleased with the Daintree Rainforest tour we took on 20th March. Our guide Dave made us very welcome and fed us a constant flow of information in a very relaxed manner. The tour was in a comfortable vehicle and we visited varied locations each if particular interest. We all agreed that the tour lasting for 11 hours was excellent value and one we will remember fondly for a long time. The catering was excellent too. Yours Barrie Avery
G’day Maf and Tony, I just wanted to drop you a line to say a big thank you for the great day Liam, my friend and I had on our famil trip to the Daintree! Our tour guide Adrian was amazing, he kept the tone fun and informative, and we really enjoyed every minute. The highlight for Liam (unsurprisingly) was the Streak and Fish at lunch… cooked to order! A real point of difference and one I’ll pass on to the guests! Thanks so much, greatly appreciated! Catch up soon, Roisin McArdle
Good Morning,Just letting you know that my husband and I had a wonderful time on our tour last week. Adrian was a terrific tour guide, and he was very funny and entertaining with his non-stop stories! Loved all of the details he provided about the area and the rainforest, and he helped rescue us girls from the evil huntsman spider which was hiding in the ladies bathroom before our swim! Meryl Ostrow
Hi There, A short note to let you know that your tour was simply our best tour from the vacation. Adrian the guide was superb! He explained a lot, showed us everything there was to see and he could answer all of our questions. And above all, he really brought the group together and made it a pleasant trip for all. The lunch and riverswim were amazing! Do keep them in the tour! I’d recommend your tour to everyone! Please share the enclosed photo with Adrian.
Greetings from Belgium! Jens
Dear Tony’s Tours -Prior to the tour, we were a little skeptical whether or not to organise our own day out or go through a company such as yours. We were so glad we went through with taking the tour through your company. The overall tour was fantastic and Adrian was extremely knowledgable and friendly. We would defiantly recommend your tour to others. Thanks for the fantastic experience. Cheers, Kane Hannah
Good Morning, Just a quick email fyi, guests Emsden came out with you yesterday and have been raving about the day and have been raving about Dave the tour guide. Best Regards Resort Manager -Paradise Links Resort
Your tour was simply fantastic! From start to finish it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and the highlight of my stay in Port Douglas. I’d like to pass my thanks onto my guide (Randall) who really made the experience for me. He was extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about everything that he spoke about. When I arranged to visit Daintree I looked into a couple of different tour operators and chose Tony’s because it suggested it was a more intimate and less ‘commercial’ tour… that is exactly how I found it! I cant think of a single thing that you could improve on so please don’t change a thing!!Thank you for making my experience of Daintree so magical and if I’m lucky enough to visit again, I wont hesitate to book with you a second time!Best regards. Chris Markey
Hi, Have just returned to Melbourne after a week’s holiday in Port Douglas. Whilst there, my daughter (Bec) and I did your Daintree Tour last Friday, with Adrian as our tour guide. We had a great day, with a good balance of driving and different locations to see. Must also complement Adrian as he was an excellent tour guide, with a good knowledge of the area, a great sense of humour and he has very good people skills. We enjoyed our time with him very much and would certainly do another tour with your company, if/when we returned to Port Douglas in the future. In the meantime we have attached a couple of photo’s as promised for Adrian to see. All the best for your future touring. Regards – Keith & Bec Siler
We absolutely loved the tour. Our guide was excellent in every way. Informative, fun, enthusiastic, friendly and clearly passionate about our surroundings. I was so glad I did the extra research and selected this company over other ones. I had previously taken part in a tour with another company and it didn’t even rate in comparison. Thanks for everything I would recommend your company to anyone!! Sincerely Dee Hanley
My friend Christine and I went on Tour A on Friday 23rd March with Adrian with 4 others. We had the most fantastic day and experience. Adrian is extremely knowledgeable especially re plant life. He also has a great sense of humour and we all enjoyed the day and company even though we didn’t know each other. Loved it all and will definitely recommend to others to tour with you guys. Virginia Malcher
On behalf of my wife and myself I would like to say how much we enjoyed ourselves on our tour of the 3rd of February with Adrian as our guide to the Daintree and beyond . The cander with which we were all greeted and shown for the rest of the day made for an enjoyable experience par excellent. Thank you and your staff for the experience. Yours sincerely Bob & Viv Dunstone
Hi Maf- I would like to congratulate Tony’s Tours for a wonderful trip with your fabulous & very informative guide Randal. My wife & I enjoyed our trip so much that when we next visit Australia we will be requiring a repeat trip with you guys -K Waters Suffolk England
Hi there Maf! Our tour with you guys through the Daintree was one of the our big highlights of our 3 weeks in Australia. Randall was absolutely brilliant, he was extremely knowledgeable (and obviously very enthusiastic about his subject matter, given the types of holidays he’s been on to Africa etc). He presented it in just the right attitude…knew when to talk about stuff and when to “take a step back” and let the scenery etc speak for itself. The rest of the tour party were brilliant, everyone got on like a house on fire and very chatty, even swapping emails and photos at the end of the tour. We all even went for drinks at the Watergate together after Randall had dropped us off. The tour itself was great and a fantastic introduction to the whole area, totally unique. And thanks too, to the women who did the BBQ lunch for us! All in all, probably the second best thing we did that week. The best thing we did was the total eclipse…so I think I’m allowed to say that! 🙂 Totally brilliant Maf and both my wife and I will be (individually) updating Trip Advisor accordingly.
Hi Tony’s! My wife and I were treated to your A tour into the Daintree Rainforest by Rob (Bob?) in October. What a delightful experience! We would like to express our thanks, and hope you carry on with the good work, and are fittingly rewarded! Here is a picture taken of Rob with my wife Christine. Please make sure to pass this on. Tell him I have other shots too, and to email me if he’d like them, or this one in a larger format. Thanks again!! Paul Malette -Canada
Dave: Hi Maf -I wanted to thank you for your flexibility in adjusting our tour on Monday 12 November. My poor sister and her husband were stranded in Brisbane and then ended up being flown to Townsville and put on a bus to Cairns (a 5 hour trip). In all it took them nearly 50 hours to get from Melbourne to Cairns! A miserable start to their holiday. And they were extremely disappointed to miss out on the Daintree tour. The six of us that did go on the tour thoroughly enjoyed it! It exceeded our expectations! Dave was terrific – he was very knowledgeable, and was particularly good at getting the kids interested and involved. In an action-packed week, the tour was a real highlight (maybe only eclipsed by the…. eclipse!). We will absolutely recommend your tours to anyone coming to Port Douglas! Thanks again! Zoe Baker
Dear Maf, We had a fantastic day on the Tour A with ‘young’ Dave, who kept us entertained throughout the day.
We found Tony’s Tropical Tours through Trip Advisor, and thus i have tonight posted our review from our tour – a copy of which i have included below –
My husband and I went on the Tony’s Tropical Tour A with ‘young’ Dave in October whilst visiting Port Douglas. We booked with Tony’s Tropical Tours based on all the positive Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed an informative, relaxing and enjoyable day in and around the Daintree Rainforest. Cape Tribuation and lunch and swimming at the Noah Valley private property were highlights – as well as the yummy Daintree Ice-cream Company visit. The day flowed at an easy pace and Dave kept us entertained, both with sharing his knowledge and his humour. We appreciated the small group size of Tony’s Tropical Tours with only 6 people on our tour. Overall, we really enjoyed the day and would highly recommend Tony’s Tropical Tours for an experience of the Daintree Rainforest.
Thank you again for your email and for providing us with such an enjoyable experience in the Daintree Rainforest. Yours Sincerely, Katie Keating
My travelling buddy and I had a great day on Nov 3rd with Chris as our guide. Chris is so knowledgeable and passionate about his job you couldn’t help but be impressed! I have been on a similar tour in the area before but I found that your company was much more informative and enjoyable. I liked the fact that we were not stuck on the bus for long periods. With Tony’s tours we stopped every 15mins or so and this broke up the day into smaller areas of focus. The opportunity to explore a World Heritage listed private property was just breathtaking. There were only 6 passengers on our tour and it was easy to get to know each other. The Vehicle was first class, lunch and morning tea was really delicious and the tour itself was just fabulous. Thanks for a wonderful FNQ experience. I will certainly be recommending your company to others travelling from Melbourne. Trish Sullivan
Hi there. We had the pleasure of going on Tour B with Dave (young Dave) at Port Douglas a couple of weeks ago. Jen and I just wanted to report that we had a great day and Dave was an incredible source of knowledge and provided lots of new learnings for us. We have labelled him WikiDave. We just wanted to say thanks to Dave and acknowledge his expertise and easy style. We also wanted to pass onto Dave that we saw a tree kangaroo at close range at Wongabel State Forest a few days later and although it states that Cassowaries are extinct from this forest area, we believe we distinctly heard a number of the sounds Dave previously identified as a male cassowary when we were on our guided rainforest tour. Anyway…thanks for the great day Dave. Sue and Jenni
Hi Maf -We had a wonderful time on your tour. Rob was an excellent guide – informative, amusing and never long-winded! He also magicked up a great lunch and morning coffee with no apparent effort. And the icing on the cake was a cassowary with chick at the side of the road, spotted by Rob while we were homeward bound. We also had the good fortune to see an adult croc as well as a couple of hatchlings while on the Daintree River. This was one of the best days we had during our three weeks in Australia. Thank you very much for making it so special. I’ll be putting a review on Tripadvisor soon (which is where we found you in the first place!). Regards -Alison Wilson
This is a must do. This tour have their own personal areas (on private property) that they take you to.Their guides are extremely knowledgeable (Ross was brilliant). AND They are constantly in touch with other guides to make sure you see as much wildlife and things of interest, as possible. Took my wife and two children, and it was the highlight of the holiday. Can’t even make a comment on how they could improve this. – well done Tony. NZ Swannstravellers
One of the best days of our holiday -From the moment we were picked up from our hotel until we were dropped off again 10 hours later, Rob our guide made sure we never had a dull moment. He enlivened what could have been a dull drive up though the sugar cane fields to the rainforest by telling us the history of sugar cane farming, and explaining what was going on as we passed (it was harvest time). That was just the warm-up act for the truly gripping walk through the forest (basically there are so many things that could injure or kill you, it’s best not to touch anything!), the croc-watching trip up the river, the swim in the creek – and the memorable roadside sighting of a very rare cassowary and chick. Along the way, Rob laid on morning coffee with excellent muffins, and an amazing spread for lunch, finishing off with a visit to the Daintree Ice-Cream Factory at tea-time. With only eight passengers in the minibus, we got to know one another quite quickly, and with Rob so happy to answer questions and well as tell fascinating stories about every aspect of the trip, we came away feeling we knew an awful lot more about the tropical rainforest than at the start of the day.
Dear Tony. We really enjoyed the tour and always it is the people that create the final memory. The itinerary was perfect , the food adequate and ample -like the Aussie touch with the damper and most importantly my teenage children (somewhat reluctant at the start) recounted how much they enjoyed the day. We loved Dave – he fitted us all in seamlessly and no question was too trivial for his attention. He had a broad knowledge of many topics and we all felt safe in his hands. A terrific day. Thanks Marg Ps Have already placed a review on trip advisor. Marguerite
We spent a very relaxed and enjoyable day on Sunday touring The Daintree and Cape Tribulation Our Tour Guide Dave provided us with a very informative and fun filled day He was excellent Thank you Dave Well worth the Trip – Hilton and Berenice Kilov
Hi Tony just wanted to say that I recently went on one of your tours with Rob as our guide. He quickly made our group feel comfortable and at ease with his great sense of humour and abundance of knowledge. There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. Thank you for a wonderful Daintree experience, with just the right mix of adventure, fun and lots of laughter:) Carmen
Husband says it was the best way to spend a birthday.Staying in Port Douglas for the 2nd time we found we had already “done” most of the touristy things there. My husband was celebrating his birthday during our stay and said he would like to go on another tour with Tony’s Tropical Tours because we both had enjoyed it so much during our previous visit. We did tour A, the very same tour as we had done four years before but it didn’t matter. It was a beautiful day, a different guide (G’day Ross) and different fellow travellers. We saw so much natural beauty and wildlife (thanks to Ross’s brilliant eye) that even though we went to the same places it was all “different”. Same, but different, like every day in paradise I guess! Shame we didn’t see the Cassowary! But keeping an eye out for one was half the fun!!! The lunch venue and swim in the beautiful swimming hole was just perfect….warmer than our resort’s pool! I can’t recommend Tony’s Tropical tours enough, they are simply fantastic. And the surprise birthday cake at lunch was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Thanks again Tony’s Tropical Tours, we will be back again one for certain! sywan Richmond, VA
Hello Tony, I wanted to send my thanks for a wonderful time on your tour. It was very informative and professionally run and a credit to all involved. Next time I will try another tour without hesitation. Thanks again, Nick Lockyer
Great Day Out – We were a family of two adults and three older teenagers and were greeted by Dave and three other lovely travellers. We spent a whole day experiencing the Daintree and were enchanted by Daves commentaries and his endless ability to answer questions in a calm and enthusiastic manner. The scenery was fantastic and we learnt heaps about the flora and fauna of the area. The weather was magic and it was great to have refreshing morning tea with beautifully brewed tea and coffee. Lunch was a small barbeque style with simple salads and delicious dampers. There was plenty of luscious fresh fruit during the day . The swim was enjoyed by all and the day seemed so seamlessly organised that all you had to do was sit back and take it all in.James C.Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Informative, well organised and fun! -Rob our guide made sure this tour was going to be memorable. He instantly made our group feel comfortable and at ease with his great sense of humour and abundance of knowledge. There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer, in fact he enjoyed recounting many, many stories that had us hanging on every word and often left us in stitches. Thank you for a wonderful Daintree experience Rob, there was the right mix of adventure, fun and laughter …..and yes you were right (of course!) a banana is botanically considered a herb, however it is also a fruit because it has little brown seeds through its middle….I believed you but said I would google it just to be sure! 🙂 Cheers Carmen -San Francisco, California
We had a blast with Tony -We had a fantastic experience on this tour. We were fortunate enough to get Tony, himself and we were so impressed with his knowledge of not only the area but the country. It was also quite clear that he loves what he does. He kept us all engaged and laughing the whole time.
We did the full day tour and totally recommend it, I cant imagine cutting any piece out. The partnerships he has with other local tour companies like the Croc tour were fantastic too- we saw so much in one day doing it all through him. And the food they provided along the way was excellent! Thank you Tony! Chaos Rowdie
We did Tour A from Tony’s Tropical Tours. These guys are passionate about what they do and do a great job of explaining all the local flora and fauna in a really interesting way. Ross was our excellent guide who picked us up on time and kept us entertained the whole way! He was very informative and was always on the lookout to show us something interesting and unique, and seemed to know the history of the area like the back of his hand. He was also very helpful in helping us to get the perfect shots of the rainforest. I also recommend Tour A because of the amazing swim through the crystal clear waters of Noah creek with rainforest rising up either side. It was defiantly a highlight of my trip to Port Douglas! These guys also have access to a private property in the Daintree which gives them a little more freedom in what you can see and do. Highly recommend Tony’s Tropical Tours if wanting to see the Daintree up close! Naosydney -sydney

Hello there Maf -We are back to work and back to reality this week 🙁 Tony’s Tropical Tours was the first tour of our holiday. It was a great start to an amazing week. Thanks go to Randall for a really enjoyable and informative day. We loved the fact we could travel in a small group in such comfort . Also loved going to some places the other tours didn’t. We took lots of photos and have been sharing our thoughts with friends and family of our great day. Topped off with the ice-cream! We would definitely recommend this tour to others. Kind regards Deb & Rob
Hi Maf, We had a great time on the tour. Randall was really informative and we saw things we would never have seen on our own (including 2 cassowaries).I work in the travel industry and it was great to see a tour operator provide exactly what they offered. I know word of mouth is important and will leave a review on Tripadvisor soon. I have just returned to Melbourne and was also proposed to whilst we were away so have a few things going on but will post a review as soon as I can. Kind regards Siobhan- Siobhan Quigley- Senior Reservations Sales Consultant. www.bentours.com.au
The Manager,Tony’s Tropical Tours, We are writing to thank you for a marvellous tour. We are usually independent travellers and do not enjoy tours, but in late July our family took your ‘Tour B’ from Port Douglas to the Daintree Forest and Cape Tribulation. We were delighted to find ourselves with a small group. Everything promised in your brochure took place, and was extremely well organised. Even the food was good! We were taken to places that we could not have got to ourselves and had a marvellous day. Thank you to Randall, our guide. Michael, Max and Kate Chalmers
Hi Maf, Having just returned home from our holiday in FNQ I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our day with Chris last Saturday. If ever there was someone in the right job it has to be Chris! Apart from being a veritable walking encyclopaedia on all things Daintree, he’s also a brilliant guide and ambassador for your company. The day passed all too quickly and it was the highlight of our trip. The scenery was breathtaking and the beaches Chris showed us were stunning. We will be back one day!! Please pass on our thanks to Chris and let him know that 90% of the plant food in the rainforest is poisonous – but there’s plenty of meat and fish! (I hope I’ve remembered this factoid correctly!!). Warm regards, Nick and Helen Newell
On behalf of Val and I, I would like to convey our thanks to Chris our tour guide. We found him to be jovial, entertaining and very informative. Our tour A trip was excellent. Please convey my thanks to the chef who provided me with Gluten free food as well. Cheers Phil and Val Walton, Melbourne
My wife and I took your Daintree Rainforest day tour a few weeks ago whilst visiting Australia. It was a fantastic day, one which we won’t forget. We enjoyed the whole day, the guide Chris was brilliant, a real good laugh with lots of stories and information for the day. You run a wonderful tour that I would recommend to everyone. If we are fortunate enough to visit Australia again, I will defiantly be booking up with you. Thanks again -Gareth -South Wales, UK
Just want to thank Chris and Tony’s for a terrific tour of Daintree. We have taken many such interpretive tours in destinations around the world and we found this one to be top class, not only in the quality of information provided, but also in terms of the fun, hospitable and relaxed nature of the tour. Regards, Jon & family
Hi Maf, Mary and I really enjoyed our Daintree tour. Our guide Dave was awesome, and full of interesting knowledge. It was really cool seeing the mother crocodile and her young on the riverboat tour, the beach and rainforest views/walks were great, and we loved getting to see a cassowary on the drive back. The lunch was also great, and Mary really appreciated you guys accommodating her gluten-free requirement. The ice cream stop was also excellent. We would definitely recommend your tour to other people. Thanks, Trevor Shull

Maf- Just thought I would provide wee feedback on our ‘charter tour for 8’ with Guide Rob in your Mercedes Vito on Friday on Tour A. We had a lovely days adventure travelling to Mossman Gorge, Daintree River, Cape Trib etc. Rob was professional, friendly, very informative and melded in with our humour and was revelling in answering our many questions throughout the day. We enjoyed the pace of the day, the lovely morning tea & luncheon of steaks and barramundi. There were many special sights in a ‘rain forest’ and whilst you no doubt have thousands of photos Rob suggested I send a couple for your collection. Attached are 3 photos – One with Croc with two babies on her back, one croc with mouth open (I believe cooling down) and one similar to photo on your brochure of rain forest lizard (don’t’ know proper name) When I printed the ‘mouth open’ photo in A4 size the clarity was excellent and the size of the teeth is scary! Our 10 day stay in Port Douglas was special with the Tropical Tour of Daintree Forrest, Low island & Great Barrier Reef snorkelling adventure and 8 games of golf at the Mirage, with many Sunset cocktails & fine feasting. Thankyou Tropical Tours for your part in our holiday to North Queensland. Cheers Tom – Tom Arnautovic OAM
Just letting you know that we had a terrific day out today with Ross. Your tour is well planned and caters for all ages. Ross is fantastic in the way he keeps everyone involved and provides such wonderful insights into the natural flora and fauna. A great day which we will recommend to our friends! Peter Johnson.
Dear Tony’s Tours -I just wanted to let you know what an incredible tour we had with you! I am so pleased we selected you out of the many options available in Port Douglas. Ross taught us so much and above all I loved how passionate he was about the environment we were discovering. The Daintree is a fascinating place and he really took the time to point out not only some of the big trees but explain the delicate eco-system and point out some of its very hidden secrets. I especially love the private land you use for the eco tour. It’s really important to me to be on a tour that I know is making a difference, and also that operates in the area care to make a difference too….AND we saw Cassowaries!!Thank you, Amy Simpson
What can I say – the tour was FANTASTIC – with the small group of people, I felt like I had a personal expert guide who took me to the very heart of the rainforest and taught me so much – I feel I had a unique and unforgettable experience. The transportation was comfortable, the lunch was wonderful and a treat to be eating in the middle of the forest – swimming in the river was another great treat. The location we stopped at were excellent – the beaches, the walk into the forest even the drive – everything was great and I have amazing photos that I will cherish forever – thanks again for a great experience! EricTop day in the Tropics – A brilliant day courtesy of TTT. Clearly a lot of thought & preparation has gone into organising these days over the years. Dave, our driver & tour guide extraordinaire, picked us up from our hotel on time & our brilliant day began. Dave’s knowledge of local flora, fauna & local history gave our day out an extra dimension, as did Bruce our passionate captain & guide on the Daintree river part of the day. Every aspect of the day was well thought out, with the right balance of tours & times for your own explorations. If you are heading to Port Douglas make sure that you book with TTT, you’ll have a great day out as well as learning about tropical Queensland. Wow…what a tour..There are many tour companies doing the Daintree and Cape Tribulation but this one – Tony’s Tropical Tours – well, you can believe the reviews here on Trip Advisor as what’s already been said is all true. We did Tour B and were fortunate to have perfect weather (always a blessing) however, we also saw parts of this beautiful country of ours that we’d only ever seen on TV and oh boy, is it stunning (and far better than on TV!!).
But it was our tour guide for the day who really made it all so worthwhile. If ever there was someone in the right job it has to be Chris! Apart from being a veritable walking encyclopedia on all things Daintree, he’s also a brilliant guide and ambassador for Far North Queensland. He also happens to have the best ‘office’ in the world as he’ll tell you enthusiastically when you’re going oooh and aahhh over the places he’ll show you!
To Tony and Maf, thank you, it was worth every cent and you gave us a trip we’ll never forget! PS: The BBQ lunch was great – thank you Sue! Aaronwood
Hi Maf, Some feedback: The tour experience was awesome! Dave was fabulous. We could not believe how much he knew about EVERYTHING we saw. We had some pretty amazing tours during our visit in Australia and I think our whole family agreed that Dave and your Daintree/Rainforest tour were the absolute best. Thanks so much for your assistance and for providing such a great experience for our entire family. Christine Peterson
Hi Tony, My daughter Sara and I enjoyed our tour with you immensely. So, I have highly, highly recommended your tours to Elizabeth Young of Travel with Kids. She is sure to contact you soon. Thank you for a relaxing, enjoyable, informative, educational, entertaining, and amazing day! We hope to return soon. best wishes, Kathy Levitt, and Sara Carnochan
Giday, My wife and I did your tour on the 12th of November. Pick up was right on time. Transportation was comfortable and the food was good. Our guide was Randall. He was an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable and informative in all aspects of our tour. Pleasant, patient with a good sense of humour. At the end of the day a tour is only as good as your guide and the number of people on the tour, Tony’s checked all the boxes and it is because of this that we will recommend Tony’s Tropical Tours to all our friends. Hope to do another tour with you next year. Kind Regards, Heather & Harold Deans Moggill, QLD
Hi Maf – I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had on our Daintree tour 18/11/11. Driver, tour, food, everything was fantastic and will recommend to anyone. Just loved the swim after lunch, so refreshing and worth doing. Thanks again for a fantastic day we won’t forget. Kind regards
Hi there, My partner and I did a Bloomfield falls/Daintree tour with Randall last week (Friday). I just wanted to pass on my thanks for a great day. Randall was a great guide – very knowledgeable answered all our stupid questions and was very professional in his approach to everything. His driving skills in the 4WD were great and overall, he made the day very enjoyable for us. Also, I found the office staff very polite and helpful when I rang up to make an enquiry and book the tour. Overall, I will be recommending your company to my friends who travel to North Qld. Paul Feltham.
I have just returned to my home town in Orange NSW and would like to advise you of the wonderful experience we had on your Tour. The tour guide was Rob and he was GREAT and very informative. Please give him a big pat on the back for me. I will spread the news. Many Thanks -Stephen
Maf, I just wanted to touch base after we have returned from our visit to Australia. As you see down below, we also had a one day to Cape Tribulation with Tony’s Tropical Tours and we enjoyed it very much. The spots we visited were really impressive and our guide David (I hope that was his name…) did a great job and we enjoyed his company very much. We would be pleased if you communicated our positive feedback also to him. Thank you also for the nice experience of the lunch in the bush at Noah Creek with very good food. We will recommend your company to our travel agent who didn’t know your company yet. Thanks again and all best regards from Germany -Gregor Wecker
Hi Maf – Just a quick one – but wanted to let you know we loved the tour we did with you guys. Dave was our tour leader and he was outstanding!!!! He is jammed packed full of interesting knowledge and has an awesome sense on humour. We have and will continue to recommend your company to family and friends – but especially for them to request Dave – as my whole family thinks that his personality is what made it a really memorable day! It is such a beautiful part of Australia and we look forward to returning! All the best Katie Guess
Hi, I just want to personally thank Tony for a wonderful day on Monday when he took us on Tour A. The day was the highlight of our holiday, we had a lovely group, mostly from the Sea Temple, and we all got on well and we were all very impressed by the standard and professionalism of the tour. A very friendly group and Tony was very knowledgeable. Thankyou very much for a fun and informative day. Enrico and Aida Fiorit
Hi We have recently returned from a trip to Port Douglas which was our first time that far north. When we were planning the trip, it was suggested by many people in Melbourne that we do a tour with your company. We booked Tour A for our 2nd day there, Tuesday 19th July. Our driver was Dave and he was accompanied by a trainee, Steve. We had a fantastic day and both guides were very knowledgeable about everything we experienced throughout the whole day. They made all on the tour feel included and at ease. Morning tea and lunch were delicious and both Dave and Steve kept us entertained with their many stories. We met some great people on our tour and experienced some wonderful sights. I wanted to email to say how great your guides were and that the tour was an experience we won’t forget. I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to other people. Please pass on our thanks to both Dave and Steve for a truly remarkable day. I have attached a photo of Dave, who after seeing some of his guests “planking” was coerced into “planking” as well. A lot of fun was had by everyone on the trip. Thank you once again. Jan and Anthony Sievers -Mill Park Melbourne 9.8.11
Just wanted to leave a bit of feedback to compliment your tour, especially Chris, who went above and beyond as our guide. He seemed to know everything about the ecosystem and history of Daintree and made sure everyone on our tour felt a part of what was going on and giving us plenty of time at each site. We’ve been on tours all around the world and Chris was hands-down the best guide we’ve ever had. The tour (A) itself was fantastic as well, a full day, but neither too long nor too short. The river cruise and stream swim were a good way to break up the day and ice cream was the perfect way to end it. Thank you and thanks to Chris! Cheers, Larry and Angela California, USA
Thanks for such a lovely tour yesterday with Dave. We LOVED the. Beautiful scenery, flowers, kangroo rat, flora and fauna! Thanks for a marvellous outing. Appreciated gluten free options for morning tea (and the beautiful sea bass at lunch) Do they sell those gluten free ginger biscuits here in port douglas? Where can I get them? They were the best gf biscuits I’ve ever had! Elena
Thanks Tony for a great day. Just magic and probably the best day of our holiday. You made us and the other guest feel relaxed and informed us the whole time. Cheers, Shar and Paul Grooby
Dear Tony -Many thanks for the great day on Thursday 14 July. Our family enjoyed every minute. Nick and I especially appreciated the extra effort you made with the kids – Tom, Bella and Jess have come home with lots of stories about the Daintree, lunch in the tree house, plants made of plastic and the flowers that the dinosaurs saw. The trip was interesting and comfortable, not to mention delicious (I particularly appreciated the leaf tea and that chocolate and caramel slice!!). Thank you again and we will certainly recommend your company as the only tour for the Daintree. Warmest – Meagan Bryant
Hi Maf, Many thanks for your hospitality during our recent ‘first-time’ (certainly won’t be the last!) visit to Port Douglas.
We really enjoyed our time in Port Douglas, which of course wasn’t long enough as usual and its now back to reality for us with our cold & wet winter weather! But we certainly got to see a lot in the short amount of time we had & were pleased we got to see the Daintree Rainforest which we’d heard so much about. We thoroughly enjoyed your day tour and special thanks to our driver/guide Ross who was ‘tops’. We even got a close-up view of one of your famous cassowary’s! Anyhow with our ‘first-hand’ experience, we will now do our best to promote your Daintree Rainforest Tour to our clients whenever we get the opportunity. Again, many thanks for your hospitality, it was most appreciated…. Andy & Suzanne Leighton.
Just got to say, we had the BEST tour with Ross. He is a very professional guide. We loved his informative tour. We will be recommending this tour to many of our friends for sure. Thank you for all your help in organising the day for us. Cheers -Den and Deb Fitzgerald
Good morning Tony and Maf -I would like to thank you very much for the great day Carolyne and I had on Friday. Tony has such a wealth of knowledge which certainly bought the tour alive for everyone. No matter how much you drive into the area you can never really know the history or information about the wildlife and rainforest. What was wonderful was listening to a group of people sitting around our pool discussing their trip and telling everyone that they shouldn’t miss “going out on Tony’s”.I had not had a full day off since 23 December and you do forget how wonderful the fresh air is and the chance to just relax. Warmest regards Julie -The Port Douglas Queenslander
Chris: Dear Tony -We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our tour of the rainforest with Chris a couple of weeks ago. He really is a credit to your company, and looked after us to perfection. He was charming, attentive and incredibly knowledgeable. A real pleasure to spend the day with. The tour itself was also well planned, with some lovely personal touches that only added to the enjoyment of the day. Many thanks again, Regards, Nicola and Lionel Smith (plus kids Tim and Jenna) From Epping, London, UK
Ian, Thanks again for the wonderful tour you gave us from the Mossman Gorge up to Cape Tribulation. Seeing that Cassowary with the two chicks was special. How did you manage to set that up? (Ha!) We did meet up with some people from England and I recommended you and the same trip that we had taken. I also recommended The Lizard and Jim and Penny. Do you remember anyone that might have been them? We tried to help bring some business your way. The television stations were also trying to promote business in your area. Hope things improve. I have forgotten the names off the beaches we saw. If you could e-mail me their names I would really appreciate it. Again, we enjoyed your tour so much. John and Pat Yessen
We took Tour B last June. Our guide was “Dave”. The awful flooding in your beautiful country is now uncovered by our USA media. We are sending this message to wish you all the very best and to say that we and many in the USA will keep you and all effected in our thoughts and prayers. Best regards! Larry Pensak
Hi, This just to thank you for a fabulous trip on the 3rd of November!!! Ross was the perfect guide and we enjoyed his knowledge and sense of humour all the way. Having heard other Danes being very unsatisfied by their rainforest trip (by another company) we just want to say that your trip was worth every cent!!! The locations, the food, the service – everything was perfect. Not even the wet weather really mattered. I want to highlight all the information, Ross gave – even if we had not seen any animals, he told about the plants and animals and their close relationship and gave us a unique understanding of the complex life in a rainforest. We will certainly recommend your trips to everyone going to Daintree! Thanks, Helle Noer and the 7 other Danes
Hi Tony, We just wanted to thank you for a nice day out on Monday. We had a great time and look forward to visiting Port Douglas and Daintree again in the future. Best wishes,Carolina and Ben
We travelled with Dave on a day tour on Monday 12 October 2009 and would like to express our appreciation of his skill, experience and knowledge.
Dave made the day very informative. Dave is a credit to the tourism industry in Far North Queensland. We would not hesitate in recommending Tony’s Tropical Tours to anyone interested in visiting the Daintree Rainforest area. Regards, Warren Fahey & Kerrie Butson
On Monday 9th August we took one of your tours of the Daintree National Park and I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed it. The whole trip was very well run and thought out, but I particularly wanted to commend our guide, Jonathan, who was a superb tour leader. Not only was he knowledgeable and fun to be with, but he also enabled the group of 6 to gel. We had such a laugh! Thanks so much for a really memorable day and sorry it’s taken me so long to write. Rachel Burrows
We recently did a tour of the Daintree with your company and had Ross as our tour We have been there on our own steam on two previous occasions but decided to take a tour this time. His knowledge and enthusiasm was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thanks Felicia Conyer
Hiya to Neville We would like to thank you very much for the tour you took us on, it was an amazing day and enjoyed very much by us both. Please find attached a pic for your collection LOL. We would not have any hesitations in recommending this tour to any of our friends. You never know we may be back some day. Again from both of us THANK YOU. Regards -Mick & Julie (GATTON, QLD)
Tony, We travelled with your guide Dave and two other couples from the U.K. and Canada on tour B last Tuesday August 4th.Wanted to let you know we enjoyed the day very much particularly due to Daves effort, knowledge and attention to detail. Please convey to him our thanks Gerard McKinley.
Thank you for a great trip to Cape Tribulation. We were looking for something with a personal touch and found exactly that with the exceptional guide Dave who provided all we were anticipating with his knowledge of the ecosystem and passion for the outdoors, we even enjoyed his jokes ! The 4WD transport was comfortable and the day well paced enabling us to experience the Daintree at its unique flora and fauna at its best, and yes we did see the elusive cassowary a fantastic experience in every sense. You have a winning format packing so much into one day along with that real genuine personal touch, again thanks so much for a unique experience. Please pass our regards and thanks onto Dave for his terrific service. We will certainly be recommending you to attendees at the Avocado World Congress planned for 2011 in Cairns. Regards -Alan& Elaine -Tauranga NZ
Hi-I just wanted to send a quick email to say how much we enjoyed Tour B with Chris on 15 September 2010.
Chris was great, really informative, friendly and made the trip really enjoyable. It must be difficult to do the same tours day in day out but his enthusiasm was remarkable. The small group tour experience was good as the family from New Zealand that we shared our trip with were great. This was our first trip to Australia (from Scotland) and if we are lucky enough to be back in Port Douglas we will definitely do one of your other tours. Thanks again -Leanne and David Hill

To Whom It May Concern, We booked a private tour on the 19/06 with Tony’s Tropical Tours and Chris was our tour guide, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Chris, he impressed all four of us with his knowledge of the areas we visited and very accommodating, as my mum is terminally ill and confined to a wheelchair most of the time, and this was no obstacle. Thankyou kindly from the bottom of our hearts. Anna and Allan Burgess, Anthea Porter and Georgina Jobben
Hi there, I just wanted to provide you with some feedback regarding a tour I attended on Monday June 14th. My tour guide was Chris and I cannot praise him highly enough, he provided informative commentary on the tour and made all the guests relax and mix well. I was travelling alone and he made sure I met everyone, even encouraging us to all swap seats regularly and offered to take my photo at some of the scenic points, this all really helped me feel less alone. I will definitely be recommending your tours to my friends and thank you for a lovely day out, guide was great, food fantastic, thanks! Bebbie Batchelor
Just wanted to say thanks for a fantastic day with our tour guide, Ross. It was one of the most memorable days of our trip down under. Ross is really knowledgeable and clearly enjoys his job. He made the whole day a success, all of us got on well together and we even managed to see a cassowary with his chicks! We would thoroughly recommend your company to anyone wanting to experience the rainforest, first hand and to spot wildlife – we would have missed most of it on our own! Thanks again, especially to Ross for a first class experience of the area. Kind regards -Lynne & Trevor Duckett
Hey guys, Just wanted to pass on a BIG thank you on behalf of the “SALVATORE” Family!! They had a fantastic day out with Tony on Tuesday and just wanted me to pass on that it was an amazing day! Even their teenage kids had a fantastic time! (which they said was a rare occurrence) They unfortunately didn’t get to see the reef while here (due to the weather), but due to their amazing day out with you guys the have made it a “must do” to get back here with the remaining family members. They mentioned that when they get back they would love to take the rest of the family out on a spectacular day with you and those who have already done it would gladly go again!! Thanks again for providing what I and everyone I send out with you believes is the one of the best tours you can do while in the area. Regards, Brian -Concierge Peppers Beach Club
Hi Maf -Just though I need to send you an email thanking you for sending me out yesterday with Ross. I had a great day & Ross really did give me a further insight into the rainforest. The lunch was fantastic & the water hole was a welcome relief from the heat of the day. Once again thank you for the day I will not have a problem recommending your tour. Kind Regards, Rodney- Lychee Tree On-Site Manager
Dear Tony’s Tropical Tours: We recently had the pleasure of taking a tour with Chris as our guide. Our family wanted to express our deepest appreciation to “Mr. Chris” for making the tour such an incredible day. He was knowledgeable, funny, and patient. Chris went above and beyond by not only remembering our son’s birthday, but also bringing along cake and sparklers. It was a day none of us, least of all our Sam, will ever forget. Thank you, Chris, and thank you to Tony’s Tropical Tours. Best regards, Mike, Tonya & Sam Robles
Dear Tony, It has been a few weeks since we enjoyed our break over the Melbourne Cup weekend. It is not often I write thankyou emails but I was taken aback by the passion and the empathy Dave had for his job and the Daintree. I am a veterinarian and found Dave’s tour captivating albeit we did not see many crocs except a wee 40cm one !! LOL We shall be sure to revisit and have already recommended your tour to friends due in January. Thank Dave again made our trip Regards -Cameron Rain
Have just returned to the UK after a brilliant holiday in Oz and wanted to say a huge thank you for a really wonderful day we had on your Tour. From the moment David, our excellent tour guide, picked us up from the Peninsular Hotel we had the most magical informative day of our entire holiday. We learned so much and had so many wonderful experiences, swimming in the pool was fantastic, lunch was more than we could have ever expected and it was all with the greatest of fun and much laughter. We will certainly be recommending your company to all our friends. Thank you so much. Please pass on our thanks to David -he’s great. Many regards Les & Lesley Dick
Hi Tony and Maf, I just thought I would pass on some great feedback I just rec’d from pax that travelled with you on over the weekend. Their guide was Jonathon and they were thoroughly impressed with his knowledge and helpfulness etc… They said he made their day and the other passengers agreed! Their names were Shane and Linda Painter and have already recommended your tour and Jonathon to others ! Well done guys, keep up the good work!! Cheers, Natalie HABA Snorkel and Dive
We have just returned to the UK following our recent trip to Oz and I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed out trip into Daintree Rainforest with your company. Ross, our guide, could not have been more helpful and informative. He told us he was hoping to make a trip to the UK in the next few years. Please tell him he would be welcome to stay with us for a few days. Simon and Rose Thompson
Hi, Just to thank you all, and especially Tony, for a great day today. One of the highlights of our stay in Australia. Best wishes, Nick & Fiona Murphy
Hi Tony,Thank you for a wonderful day out, Saturday, you certainly exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to sharing the experience with our clients. Regards Pamm Whyte -The Boutique Collection
We would just like to pass on our deepest appreciation to Tony’s and especially Chris who made our day trip so memorable. Even at 30 weeks pregnant my wife Carlene had a fantastic time and the special attention and care towards her from such a professional and empathetic tour leader made the day all the more enjoyable, chris knows his stuff.. Keep at the great work Tony’s, we will spread the word. Cheers. Jared Foster
Hi Tony, My wife and I have just got back to reality/home from a short holiday at Port Douglas. While we were up there we went on one of your tours (Sat 8/8/09) and We’d just like to pass on our sincere thanks, as it was a great, relaxing, informative and fun tour, while the scenery was absolutely amazing the small group, comfortable vehicle & driving made it that bit more enjoyable. The morning tea and lunch was delicious and the afternoon swim topped things off. We’d like you to pass on our thanks to ‘Dave’ our guide who made the whole day a fun experience, he made our small group feel like friends from way back and the information he shared was both funny and interesting, he is a great representative for your company. We hope to be back up that way soon. Many thanks, Dean & Fiona.
Just a note from Canada to express our appreciation and gratitude to our wonderful guide “Chris”. My daughter and 2 grandchildren (in their 20’s) came along and we were very impressed by Chris’ knowledge of the area, how he shared that knowledge, his kindness and thoughtfulness to us all.The tour, “Tour A”, was fabulous and we would recommend it to any friends heading for Australia. Thank you! and Thank you Chris! June Tanner. We took the tour July 16 or thereabouts
Hi there, Just a quick email to say we went on your day tour of the Daintree in mid May 09 and Ross was our guide. He was a great guy, wealth of knowledge and a really nice chap. I highly recommend him to anyone and tell everyone about Ross and Tony’s Tours. Thanks for making our day a great day…We even saw a Cassawary with 2 babies. Love it thanks /Sharyn, Steve, Narelle and Ian
Hi,Just though I would contact you and say how much my husband and I enjoyed our trip with your company up the Bloomfield track with Dave (I think) It was a real education and I learned so much about the forest and the surrounding area. I never realised the forest is so full of dangerous seeds and berries. The muffins were great and lunch hit the spot nicely. However the greatest plus was meeting like minded people and we had a great day. I am glad I do not drive that track everyday my bum could not stand sitting for that length of time. A great day and well worth the money. Irene And Rob Lewis
Hi Tony, I just wanted to let you know how we enjoyed the private tour last Wednesday. You may remember our curious Jorin (8) who couldn’t stop asking questions. Thanks for answering all of them! The tour was certainly worth it and I will certainly recommend your tour to friends. When we drove on Port Douglas Rd later that week one of the boys noticed the Landcruiser and shouted ‘there’s Tony!’. You made some new friends, mate. Thanks again, Lenno Stevels
Hi,I was lucky enough to go on one of your tours (A) while on holiday in Port Douglas last week, and it was a really memorable experience. In particular, our guide Chris made it a great day with his relaxed but enthusiastic attitude, and his range of knowledge about the rainforest flora and fauna is amazing. The food and refreshments were also excellent (best lunch I’ve had on this kind of excursion). So thanks to all concerned. Tess, Melbourne
Dear Tony, Just a short note to thank you for the wonderful day out we had with your company>We went on tour A with Chris as our guide. He was exceptionally helpful particularly to my mother who is 77 years old. She was able to experience all of the beautiful walks and scenery thanks to the help she received from Chris. We enjoyed all the very interesting talks and information on the rainforest and plants. Chris displayed a very quick eye and was able to find dragons and spiders that were camouflaged. Regards, Carol Dickinson, Joan Lee & Margaret Young
Hi Tonys Tropical Tours, We were part of a group on Tour A on the 21st May 2009 and Ross was our guide and host for the day. We would like to recognise his enthusiasm and professionalism as a tour guide. We had a fantastic day and learnt so much from his extensive knowledge of the forest, its wildlife and the area itself. An amazing day with the highlight being privileged enough to observe not just one but five Cassowary in their natural habitat during the course of the tour. The tour was without doubt a highlight of our fourteen days in Port Douglas. A tour with a great group of people and Ross as the perfect host. He was so proud of his new VW and it was a privilege to join him on its inaugural tour. Thanks for a fabulous day and please convey our special thanks to Ross. David & Dorothy Blumhardt
Thank you so much for our tour–it was truly one of the very best parts of our trip to Australia. Our tour guide, Randall, was fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and oh-so-patient in answering all of our questions. His personality, attitude and expertise really enhanced the tour. We recommended Tony’s Tropical Tours to others we met on our journey. Thank you!
To the Management. My wife & I along with NZ partners & a WA couple recently experienced your Tour B of the Daintree (17/04/09) while holidaying at Port Douglas. We came away from the long, exhausting day marvelling at good, old fashioned personal service. From the time Ross collected us @ 7:20am until he extended our tour to show us the sugar bats in Port Douglas Rd in the dark, we were given an outstanding introduction to what makes the Daintree a world class phenomena . Ross is an absolute gem! It’s a wonder he isn’t running his own tour company. His knowledge of fauna, flora, history, culture, conservation, indigenous heritage etc is A+ We were spell bound by his enthusiasm to make our day the memorable experience it was. His personal skills encouraged & enabled 3 couples to interact as if we had know one another forever. Our one day 4WD experience of the Daintree is one we will never forget due to the magnificent expertise, both personal & informational, of our tour guide, Ross. I’m positive Dave & Jan and Lana & Rich would endorse our comments. Congratulations Ross, you were a superb guide & went beyond what we as seasoned travellers were hopeful of experiencing. Martin & Carole, Tasmania.
Hi Maf, We had a fabulous day yesterday! The vehicle is great, the itinerary is really good, the food was delicious. Ross did a fantastic job; I was very impressed with his ability to deal with guests who had a very limited understanding of English, he remembered at all times to speak as simply and clearly as possible. And his knowledge of the area is so good – I learned lots of things I didn’t know before, even though I’ve been to Cape Trib many times. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to experience Tony’s Tropical Tours – that will definitely be a recommendation I’ll be making to guests from now on. Regards, Margaret Wilson- Owner/Manager.
My friend Kim and I were guests on your tour A on 7 May with your guide Dave. We just wanted to say that we had a wonderful time and had all our expectations met. Dave had an extensive knowledge and we learnt heaps: a great sense of humour too 🙂 We saw a croc, snakes, lizards, birds, butterflies, etc, etc, and enjoyed the amazing variety of habitats and environments. Morning tea and lunch were spot on. Thank you for a memorable experience. We would recommend Tony’s to everyone without hesitation, especially as your company has a genuine regard for conservation Keep up the good work and more power to you 🙂 Sincerely, Graham Hemming
Hi there, I just wanted to take a moment to say what a thoroughly enjoyable tour we had recently whilst on our travels throughout Oz! ‘Dangerous Dave’ (our guide) was extremely knowledgeable and really passionate about the environment but his (bad!!) jokes also made the day lighted and fun. Lunch was also fantastic. Having done a good number of different tours which had lunch included I must say the quality was absolutely brilliant. Thanks again, Leona We will highly recommend this tour to our friends, Leona Cobb
On April 27th,2009 I took your tour A and I have to say that it was such a fantastic day. Apart from the best ever scenery that I have ever come across i have to say that Dave was an absolute star. His knowledge combined with his wit made for a truly magical day. Give him a big X from me and please pass this message on to him also. Many thanks, Kate Coughlan
Hi Tony’s Tropical Tours -Just wanted to tell you that nothing could have been better about our tour with David on April 27th to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. He was so informative about the plant and animal life and had such a great sense of humour. He showed us wonderful spots that without him as a guide we would have never seen. Just a wonderful day and can’t thank you enough! Marie and Jim Dirscherl, USA
Hi Tony, A great big thanks to you for the amazing day you spent with us in the Daintree rainforest last week. We all saw a great deal and learned loads. Your knowledge was also coupled by an amazing ability to communicate it to your audience. We are currently at the Lamington National Parks, a sub tropical rainforest, and lots of the things you have shown and taught us hold true for here too. We are seeing vines, strangler figs, staghorn ferns etc and thanking you for the ability to interpret what we are seeing. We had a ball in Port Douglas and we will be back ! Nick, Monica, Seb, Anna and Izzy
Dear Tony just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your trip it was great going out with someone who has a true love of nature and knows what he’s talking about although there was an ill wind during the arvo ha ha, anyone who can put up with this group of ratbags deserves all the praise we can give him.thks again Shane Simmons and group
Hi, My Partner (Michael) & I have just returned from our Holiday in Pt Douglas. I must say, one of the highlights for both of us was your tour, hosted by Chris. Chris really made the day for us and we learned and listened and were entertained and fascinated by what we experienced. The Daintree needs no embellishments and Chris’s quiet gentle manner left us in wonderment as he showed us around this beautiful heritage listed area. We are both 4th generation Aussies but felt we knew nothing about the area and have come away quite enlightened by what we heard. I m so glad we were there during the wet season to see what nature has on offer when she is doing her washing !! I felt compelled to write to you and say Thank-you and please pass on our Thanks to Chris for a wonderful day. PS Lunch was great – Daintree tea and muffins and huge lunch went down a treat. Thank-you !! Andrea Edwards
To Tony and his staff -Thank you for a wonderful day in the Daintree. My family (Kristine, Earl, Tim & Ryan) were with Tony on 28 Dec. We thoroughly enjoyed Tony’s personality and hospitality while taking us on our tour of the rainforest. The sites, sounds, and even smells were overwhelming. We very much appreciated the personal touch – from the food and snacks to the commentary and drop-off service. It was a shame it rained and that we didn’t see a cassowary – but we’re more thankful for what went right, honestly. The rain probably brought out the sounds of the insects and frogs in greater numbers. We enjoyed seeing a female croc and kingfishers. We enjoyed the trees and flowering plants of the rain forest – as well as the ice cream and the flowers in the tended gardens there. And we certainly enjoyed the friendship Tony provided. It was a truly remarkable experience. Thanks – and God Bless. The McDaniel Family
Just a quick thank you for a fabulous day on 12th Dec with Dave. We (us & our 2 children age 9&13) really enjoyed the trip -Dave was enthusiastic& very well informed, he even managed to cope with the bossier member of our group in a very diplomatic fashion! Not I would have! Tell we agree with his taste in music anyway! Now we’re back in the UK & the temp is only 36 degrees colder than in Port Douglas ….not good! Thank you again the Findlay family
To the team at Tony’s Tropical Tours, Last Sunday, 4th January, my partner and I were on one of your tours with our guide Dave to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. I am just writing to commend you on the tour and Dave’s input into what was a very memorable day. I can confidently speak for myself and other parties present on the day when I say that we found Dave’s easy going attitude and obvious expansive knowledge and love of the natural environment and its wildlife to be most impressive and the main contributing factor to our enjoyment of the day. As Australians, my partner and I learnt a lot about the region and came away from the tour with a new-found understanding of its importance to our national heritage- I can only imagine how much the other two couples from Europe would have learnt on the tour! I will be recommending you (and Dave) to my colleagues and friends who frequent the Port Douglas area, and hope to be back in the region again shortly to take another one of your tours. In the meantime, thank you for a real highlight of our holiday. If there is anything you would like me to expand upon or offer greater feedback on please don’t hesitate to contact me. Kind regards, Kurt McGuiness, Senior Account Manager
Hi Tony,We would like to thank you for the Cape Trib tour 1 we did with you on 27th November 08 both Narelle and myself thoroughly enjoyed it and are still amazed at what we saw. We would also like to say that it is refreshing to do a tour in a small group, with people that are passionate about showing their patch of Australia to the world, keep up the fantastic work. I have included some photo’s that you said you would like to see feel free to use them if you wish.Best regards Wes & Narelle Ritchie Melbourne
Hi,Just a quick email now we’re back home in the UK to say thanks for an excellent Tour A on 29th November. Jonathan gave us a day to remember: lots of interesting things to see, lots of information and lots of questions answered; and he did so in a professional and thoughtful way. To find that he had lived just a couple of miles away from our home was quite simply staggering! You may wish to remind him of his previous life by showing him the attached image of the Bay Horse in Otley which he had mentioned to us. It was taken earlier today on what was a cold (1°C) and damp yet bright morning: a little different from the Port Douglas and Daintree we left behind! He may also wish to have a look at a website I created which will provide him with wider views of Otley. It’s at www.thechevin.net Finally, I hope you don’t mind but I have added a link to your website from my Useful Links page at www.jukes.org.uk Best wishes Frank (and Daphne) Jukes
Have just returned to UK after six weeks in Australia and just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our trip on 17 November. It was one of the highlights of our trip and this was due in no small way to our guide Dave. His enthusiasm and knowledge made all the difference. Whatever you are paying this guy – it is just not enough. Thanks for a fantastic, memorable day.Colin and Jenny Jones
We have just returned from the most wonderful trip to Australia. One of the highlights was the trip we did with your company on 9th October. We had a good party and the small size of the group added to the enjoyment. Our guide Ross(?) was brilliant at informing us about all we saw. The swim at Noah’s Creek was an experience that we will never forget.Thank you for an excellent excursion, so well planned and so enjoyable – such a beautiful part of the world. John and Daphne Woolf
Hi Maf!Just returning and had to say what a wonder time I had with Dave! The sites were perfect and it was nice to stop every ½ hour to do something…You have a great tour and I know you are going to have to get more automobiles because you are very popular. Have a fantastic year
Tony – my wife Lisa and I did Tour A with Dave about 10 days ago from Port Douglas. I wanted to let you know that Dave was terrific – he answered everyone’s questions (and there were a lot!), and is generally a very nice guy. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will recommend you company to anyone looking to do a rainforest tour. Cheers! Matt & Lisa Blocher -San Diego, CA USA
Dear Tony, after having travelled back to Germany and having gone through an unusually hectic start of the new school year we want to let you know once again how much we appreciated the Bloomfield trip with you. You looked after us very well and we really enjoyed being with you. You are a very kind person and a very good guide who knows well how to explain all the small and bigger things along the way.
We are looking forward to see you again to go on another trip with you. Give our kindest regards to your wife. Your German guests Anette and Bernd
PS: Because of all this, we are willing to forget everything that has been mentioned about teachers :-)!
Dear Tony’s Tropical Tours, Thank you so much for a really enjoyable trip up to the Daintree on Thursday 31st July. The tour was one of two recommended to us by the tourist information bureau on Macrossan Street, and I can see why. We’re glad we chose to go with you guys.
Not only was the tour a good mix of driving, walking, boating and ice-cream (!); but Ross was a very informative tour guide, full of non-stop, relevant and interesting facts about all the flora and fauna in the area . . and plenty more. He, and the rest of the group, made the day very enjoyable for us both.
Really amazing to see the crocodiles in their natural habitat, along with the rest of the fascinating creatures, plants and trees in the Daintree. We’ll have to come back another time, in the hope of spotting one of the elusive cassowaries. Thanks again. All the best. Brian and Nichole.
Hey Tony, I did a daytour in the last week of march. Together with my mother I was on the exclusive tour with Dave. Until now I never really thought about looking for your website but as I was bored at work, I decided to bring back some good memories of beautifull Australia. So here I am, looking around on your website thinking about how great those days where and one of the greatest days in my life. Seeing Cape tribulation, Eating really good icecream, bush tucker 😉 Thanks Dave 😉 If I go back to Australia (AND I WILL!!!) I will visit the rainforrest again. With Tony’s Tours and I want Dave as my guide. HE ROCKS! Lot’s of love, Margriet (MARGE)
Tony,I am writing to express my appreciation for what was a fantastic outing provided by David R. on 27 Nov. David’s knowledge about the rainforest and native flora and fauna is astonishing. More important however is his enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge in a disarming fashion. He is without doubt the best tour guide I have encountered anywhere. His infectious enthusiasm, natural charisma, environmental ethos, and extraordinary knowledge make him a terrifically talented teacher. During the tour David expressed his desire to work in the local area schools on a volunteer basis to increase kids’ understanding of, and appreciation for, the species native to the rainforest and Queensland. After a day with David I am certain this will be a huge success. Perhaps Tony’s Tours (as an ecotour business) should consider supporting/sponsoring David’s quest to nurture in the next generation a love for the habitat. Please pass along my thanks to David. Regards, Andrew Ramsburg
Hi Maf, We’re just back into Melbourne after our 10 days in Port Douglas and I wanted to drop you a quick line to say how much we enjoyed our day out.
I have to say that when I first heard Jonathon’s dulcet english/midland tones I was a little disappointed. I had expected a local aussie to show us round and for him to tell us about his country. However Jonathon’s enthusiasm and obvious love of his job quickly dispelled any concerns I foolishly had. He was excellent company, very knowledgeable and happily shared his passion – often with humour (though don’t tell him that). It’s just a shame that the day was so short as I’d imagine that he has a ton of interesting stories ! He brilliantly dealt with my highly sarcastic wife with his own brand of sarcasm and wit. He also helped bandaged her wrist (she fell off her bike the day before) and was constantly attentive to our needs and rarely had to be asked for assistance, help or information. He was also great with our 5 year old and our 8 year old. I’d also like to thank him for taking the time to ring us at the Mandalay the following day with the name of the flower/plant that my mother was so interested in – she was delighted. She was even more delighted when she found some custard apples at our local deli here in Melbourne – as Scots this was a fruit we’d never tasted or even heard of and my mother was over the moon to sample this on your tour. I should also add that the food on the day was excellent. All in all we had a terrific time and have passed that onto the Mandalay so they can continue to recommend you. I’m also a regular user of www.tripadvisor.com and will be adding these thoughts in the next day or so.
Many thanks again and we look forward to seeing you again when we return next year. Please pass on our best regards to Jonathon. Cheers, Colin
Hi,A few weeks ago we did your tour with Chris. Just wanted to provide some feedback. We thought the trip and personalized tour was absolutely fantastic. Thanks to Chris for answering all the questions our young visitor from Scotland – Cameron had! Sheila Griffin
Happy New Year,Please thank our guide Chris for a wonderful day of experience and learning. Our day with you was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia- and that includes our sons wedding in Sydney In the Botanical Gardens .Best wishes to you all -Sam and Jennifer Lancaster Atherton-Lancashire-England
Dear Tony,Just a short note to express our gratitude for the wonderful day we had with your outfit on 11/29/07. Our guide for the trip was Jonathan, and we are very happy that we were fortunate enough to be included in his group. This guy is just the best! I can’t say enough about him. His knowledge and personality really made our tour an unforgettable experience. Linda and I absolutely marvelled at his ability to answer any questions we had (and I was asking lots of questions). His easygoing style and eagerness to make sure everyone had the best day possible made it the one of the premier highlights of our Australian adventure.Your company is top-notch, and I will certainly recommend you with the absolute highest marks. Keep up the good work. What you guys do enables folks like us to get a glimpse of a world that everyone should experience. I’ll hit “Trip Advisor” to post a testimonial for you and your man Jonathan. If all your guides are as awesome as Jonathan, you’ve done well. Tell him I told you to give him a raise! Thanks again, and we’ll book again on our next trip. From halfway round the world, Scottie & Linda
Greetings, My partner and I, along with another couple, just returned from a FANTASTIC trip to Australia and wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our private tour with Paul on October 30th. He was AMAZING and knew so much about the area and the rainforest that we really felt like we learned a lot. In addition, Paul was very insightful about Australian culture, which was very helpful since we have been thinking about moving to the area.Again, thanks a million for this once in a lifetime experience!! Sincerely, David Clarke
Hi, My name is Leanne Griffin and i went on a tour on Wednesday with little Dave. I just want to say how pleased i was with him as our guide. He was so passionate about his work and the rainforest that it was addictive. His knowledge of animals was amazing. I would recommend him as a tour guide to all of my Perth pals when they come to Port Douglas. Please thank him from Aarona and Leanne.Thank you for a fantastic day.Cheers Leanne Griffin
Hello, I would just like to thank you for a wonderful day out to Bloomfield Falls and Cape Tribulation on 27 November. In particular, our guide, David R was fantastic – a wealth of knowledge of the world of the rainforest and good fun too! He is definately an asset to your company and made our trip very memorable. Thanks Dave! Ray and Christine.(Canberra, Australia)
Hi Tony’s Tropical Tours,Thank you again for the wonderful tour of the Atherton Tablelands you gave Rachel and me on 10/18. Here are the best of the cassowary and scarlet honeyeater photos. When we get through Rachel’s photos we will forward more. What is the name of the park where we saw the cassowary and the lake with the honeyeater? Best regards Ben Costello
Hi Tony & Chris,On Friday 19th October myself, my husband Phil and he’s parents Trish & Colin signed up for your tour, which took us to Cape Tribulation & back. We had Chris as our tour guide (small world as Phil & Chris went to school together!) Chris is a fantastic tour guide! He made the whole day so interesting and spectacular. It is so amazing to learn all about the history of the Daintree region, along with the plant & animals that help make this region of Australia so breathtakingly beautiful. It really makes the tour when you have such a passionate guide. Thanks also goes to the chef, lunch was fantastic – did not expect that on an all day 4WD tour, and to Scott, another enthusiastic guide along the Daintree River. It was a fantastic day, we even saw two crocs & a cassowary with chicks! We highly recommend your tour as the small groups are more enjoyable when wandering around the rainforest and the private property you have access to at Noah’s Valley Gorge is surreal. On behalf of the group, thank you again Chris & Tony for such a wonderful experience. Kind Regards, Phillip O & Michelle L Taylor
Maf, It been awhile since we were in Australia but wanted to let you know my family thought your tour and especially your guide, Paul was the highlight of our holiday in Australia back in August. We travelled throughout Australia for 3 weeks and truly enjoyed and became better educated not only on the rainforest but also in general about Australia and its culture through Paul who was both informative and every educated. We have recommended everyone who asks about Australia to book a day with Tony’s Tours and hopefully get Paul if they plan to visit Port Douglas and Cairns.Attached are a couple of pictures for you and Paul. Thanks, Harlon, Cynde, Matt, and Alex Lee
Good Afternoon Maf, Tony and the crew, I just wanted to send a quick thank you for looking after my sister on Thursday. She had such a fantastic day, and raved about the knowledge and professionalism of Chris. Our guests – The Robinsons – also thoroughly enjoyed their day. I hope the school holiday period goes well, and I will no doubt see you soon. Thank you again, Danika Strachan -Peppers Bale Resort
Hi Tony and Maf., Our family of six really enjoyed our 4WD private party tour with you to Daintree and Bloomfield Falls with. Tony was our most professional and knowledgeable guide in Australia. We all enjoyed his driving, humor, and home-prepared muffins, caramel bars, Daintree tea, and steak lunch with damper bread and Vegemite. We saw a southern cassowary, a Boyd’s tree dragon, and a Kookaburra, and learned much about local fruits and poisonous giant seed pods. You brought us to special locations and we highly recommend your tour to everyone. Thanks Maf. for making our reservations smooth and informative. Warmest regards, Ben and Sonia California, U.S.A.
Hi Maf, I just wanted you to know what a fabulous time we had on your company’s tour the other day. Paul was our guide. My wife and I could not have had a better tour guide. He was absolutely amazing. Our brains were numb at the end of the day. We felt that we had been to Medical School and Graduate School in Botany, Anthropology, Evolutionary Biology etc. in one day! He was also personal, warm, and gracious as well. This was our best tour in Australia. We feel so lucky to have booked with your company and have Paul as our guide. Thank you so much! Ron Cohen and Perlas Sapida
Hi There, Just wanted to thank you and give you some feedback on the Danika & Madeleine’s familiarisation with you the other day. The girls came back and raved about the time they spent out with Tony. They thoroughly enjoyed the day, commented on the amount of information they were given were really impressed with the day overall and with the cruise. I hear the food was pretty good too. So thank you for taking the time and the space to get the girl’s onboard and I look forward to working with you closely. I’ll get myself out there one day too! Appreciate your help. Kind Regards, Lynne.Peppers Bale Resort
Hi, I would just like to thank you for a brilliant tour of the Daintree and surrounds on Monday 12th of March with Tony himself! (We are passengers Kirsty and Leigh!)The trip was faultless, the local area knowledge was great, cars were great and food was great!! I will happily be recommending your tours to anyone heading to Port Douglas. Cant wait to take another tour when we return. Thanks again! Leigh Phillip
Hi, Just dropping you guys a quick email to express our thanks for the excellent tour we experienced last month during our stay in Port Douglas. It was an inspiring trip that took in some beautiful sights and taught us some amazing things! I think I speak for our whole party when I say we will be recommending your tours to anybody we know who is lucky enough to visit Port Douglas. I, personally, was touched by the beauty of the places we went and have never been more aware of the destruction us humans are plagueing this planet with. For me, it was a life changing experience and if you can inspire others in the same way then the world will be a better place!!! Special thanks to Chris who’s enthusiasm and personality made the whole day even more educational and enjoyable! Kind Regards and keep up the good work! Phil, Charmaine and the Jack family
