Tony’s Tropical Tours COVID-19 Safe Plan and Important Notice= Touring to the Daintree Rainforest (update : proof of Vaccine is no longer required)

IMPORTANT UPDATE : In accordance with the Queensland Government public health directive and most recent guidelines, as of 17 December 2021 it will be a requirement for all customers 16 years and older to be vaccinated with an approved COVID-19 vaccine.

Proof of vaccination must be shown to the guide prior to boarding our vehicle. This can be via the Qld check-in App., or via the Medicare App., or a printed copy of your COVID-19 vaccination certificate, or immunisation statement.

Guests that are unable to provide proof of vaccination to the guide prior to boarding will be declined travel (as per Queensland Health Regulations) and the full cancellation charge will apply.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has triggered an unprecedented crisis and as we try and move forward we take this opportunity to inform you that we are committed to your well-being  as well as our employees.

Tony’s Tropical Tours has compiled and  implemented new protocols and added procedures covering all areas of our operations to reduce the risk of infection and minimise the risk of transmission by enhancing hygiene protocols, comply with physical distancing requirements by relevant government authorities and to give you the needed peace of mind and have you feel at ease when you travel with us.

Some important new measures and added procedures that we have implemented are:

Driver/guides: All our driver/guides have successfully completed a COVID-19 Hygiene Awareness for Passenger Transport Drivers and are now fully certified by the DRVR Training and Transport Alliance Australia.

Our driver guides have preventative measures in place to ensure your well-being and in the event that any unexpected issues arise on tour, they will act in accordance with government guidelines.

Guests: will be required to provide information such as name, address and telephone number prior to boarding if this has not already been provided by your agent in advance. If we do not have this information, guests will be refused to board. This is a requirement by Australian Health.

If you have booked via an agent your voucher for travel is still required and will be placed in a box provided. Please note that we are a cashless entity. All tours will need to be booked and paid for in advance

Guests will not be permitted to swap seats throughout the tour unless it’s with their partner or family member, once seated and travelling between sites.

Cleaning: Our vehicles are sanitized each morning and we are taking additional measures whilst on tour. Our Driver/Guides will be regularly cleaning and disinfecting the high touch surfaces throughout the day in accordance with government regulations.

Guest are asked to follow hygiene practices by regularly washing of hands and sanitizing when required. We request you use hand sanitizer before you board the vehicle. A face mask is provided for you if you wish however you are welcome to bring your own face mask and your own hand sanitiser.

Lunch: Due to the restrictions placed on lunch service we can only cater for vegetarian/ vegan, gluten free/ lactose free options. For any other dietary restrictions please contact us first.
